(PR) New Wave/Electro-Rockers FOLIO will be releasing their debut EP--Great Divide, on the 11db Music imprint on May 8, 2007. FOLIO's sound is a blend of modern edge infused with the brightness of New Wave. Fans have described FOLIO's music as a mid-air collision of Duran Duran, The Killers, Interpol, New Order, Shiny Toy Guns and Franz Ferdinand. Great Divide features performances by guest artist heavyweights Joey Waronker on drums (Paul McCartney, REM, Beck, Smashing Pumpkins), Lyle Workman on guitars (Sting, Beck, Frank Black), and Roger Joseph Manning Jr. (Beck, Morrissey, Air, Angels & Airwaves), who provided additional vintage synth textures. The album was mixed by Bryan Carrigan (No Doubt, Seal, Alanis Morrisette).
Southern California residents may attend the FOLIO Great Divide CD release party at The Viper Room (8852 Sunset Blvd. West Hollywood, CA 90069) on Sunday May 6th at 7:00pm. FOLIO is part of an Electro-rock themed bill entitled Kaleidosound, featuring Shiny Toy Guns tour alums Rome To Paris, Taxi Doll, and LA dark-edged electro rockers Kiljoy Union.
