(PR) Portland-based Lifesavas, which are comprised of emcee/producer JUMBO and emcee VURSATYL, have captured the nation's attention with this upcoming release, Gutterfly, which is set for release April 24th on Quannum Projects. Rolling Stone listed them as one of the Top 10 Artists to Watch in 2007 feature. The duo drew their inspiration for the album from blaxploitation videos from the 70's, particularly the cartoon flick Coonskin. They created a concept for a film, complete with fictional characters and compiled it into the best format they know - through poetic songwriting and powerhouse beats. Gutterfly is Lifesavas' sophomore album and an incredibly artist and creative piece of work. Lifesava Tour Dates with DJ Shadow:
