Kind Hearts & Coronets - 7:00PM – Tuesday, April 17: LA Alternative calls these Southern California natives,” the newest bunch of musicians to carry the trippy torch of psychedelia into the dark clubs of Silver Lake/Echo Park and beyond.” The band currently has an EP in the works, but for now you can catch them live at Amoeba.
Eleni Mandell - 7:00PM – Thursday, April 19: Los Angeles Magazine named her “best local singer,” LA Weekly anointed her as “best songwriter” and Bust Magazine ranks her with artists such as PJ Harvey and Neko Case. Fresh from her European tour, Los Angeles singer Eleni Mandell will perform sultry, captivating songs from her new album, Miracle Of Five.
!!! - 6:30PM- Thursday, April 26: !!! (“Chk Chk Chk” to Google and vocal chords) are a disco-punk group from the ashes of Out Hud and the Yah Mos. Releases on Gold Standard, Touch & Go and now Warp have further cemented their place in hipsterdom. Their new release, “Myth Takes” warranted an 8.0 from Shitfork. Be there to witness this great band in action.
Andrew Bird - 7:00PM – Monday, April 30: Andrew Bird’s new album, “Armchair Apocrypha” pulses with dark undertones and gypsy balladry. Renowned for sampling and looping instruments during performances, Andrew is a truly unique solo artist making his live shows a one-of-kind experience.
