A North Carolina minister is a bit peeved at rapper Nelly and his plans to unleash on the unsuspecting public a new energy drink called “Pimp Juice”.  

The minister chastises Nelly because he believes the drink glorifies the pimp lifestyle. (Guess the minister didn’t bother to listen to Nelly’s music, which does much the same thing). 

According to MuchMusic, “He also takes offence to an official statement suggesting the drink mixes well with vodka.” (Doesn’t anything mix well with Vodka?) 

Reverend Paul Scott says "The black community is in danger right now. As black men we should be building a nation of strong black leaders, not a nation of super energized, drunk pimps." (Again, if that is his concern maybe he should look at the music that is the backdrop to this energy drink?)

Nelly of course defends the name he has given to his new money making endeavor, "Pimp Juice is anything that attract the opposite sex."

The debate will rage on but it is doubtful that Nelly’s drink alone will make people super energized, drunk pimps. Anymore than listening to Ozzy causes suicide. Although an argument can be made that listening to Kelly’s music can lead people to want to die.
