It wouldn’t be a rock n roll movie without a rock n roll soundtrack and Jack Black and Atlantic Records really pulled out all the stops on this one, as it’s a who's who of classic rock. When the soundtrack lands in stores on September 30th, you’ll not only get classic cuts from The Who, The Doors, Cream, Led Zeppelin, The Ramones, Stevie Nicks and T-Rex but you’ll also get a new classic from The Darkness, as well two cuts from the School of Rock band lead by Jack Black with some backing by his junior partners. 

Black not only leads his students in a rendition of the AC/DC classic "It's A Long Way To The Top", but they also pull off the title track for the film. You don’t have to wait for the soundtrack or the film to catch of preview; Atlantic records has just posted the video for “School of Rock” online  It features clips from the film as well as Jack Black and the young cast on a rock n roll quest’.
