Sizzle of NBC’s “Coupling” Fizzles

It seems like it was only a few weeks ago
when NBC’s “Coupling” was making headlines over it’s racy content and NBC
was hoping for a major hit to replace the retiring “Friends” on their Thursday
night lineup. Wait, it was only a few weeks ago.
Seems a lot has changed at NBC as they
have bumped the show from its timeslot this week and replaced it with the
new sit-com “Whoopi”.
NBC has not indicated when the show would
return if at all. But their faith must have dwindled if they decided to
bump the show after just 3 weeks from a much coveted time-slot (between
the hits Will & Grace and ER).
The show aided by the controversy over
its “racy” content drew in 15.3 million viewers when it debuted three weeks
ago, but the ratings have dropped significantly since then. Last week’s
episode was watched by 10.7 million viewers.
