Jim Carrey will play the lead in a film version
of the Six Million Dollar Man. The latest 70s TV show to be remade for
the big screen.
The film will be adapted from the 70s
adventure drama that starred Lee Majors. The title character, Air Force
Col. Steve Austin, was surgically enhanced with bionics which gave him
super-human power.
Carrey reportedly got the ball rolling
on this project himself. Unlike the original television series, Carrey
wants to turn this remake into a comedy. Filming is expected to start
in the fall of 2004.
