It seems we cant go a week without Fred Durst
making some kind of bold announcement.
We learned last week that the new Limp
Bizkit album has been pushed back. Durst announced today (5/13) that the
new release date is September 8th, 2003 and the album is now going to be
called Panty Sniffer.
Because of the delayed release date the
band will postpone their June European dates until August.
Fred Solo? Thats what Fred said.
Rolling Stone quoted the Bizkit frontman talking about an 80s style solo
project called Pacifica.
"It's very Eighties," says Durst in the
Rolling Stone article. "I don't want to say it sounds like Howard Jones
or A Flock of Seagulls. Maybe it sounds more like Duran Duran or Soft Cell
-- this will be a more polished, modern takeoff of those things. Aesthetically
and cosmetically, there was so much freedom in the Eighties: hair-sprayed
hair to stupid tight jeans. Everything was OK."
No additional information was available
about Pacifica at press time.
