Sylvester Stallone is hoping to bring the
story of the investigations of the murders of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls
to the big screen.
Stallone is reportedly onboard to write,
direct and star in the film. He will take on the role of LAPD detective
Russell Poole and the film will explore the behind the scenes investigation
that reportedly linked some LAPD officers to the murders of the famous
rappers.
Poole apparently believes that members
of the LAPD conspired with gang members and key figures in rap circles
to kill Shakur and Biggie Smalls.
Stallone has reportedly asked Death Row
records head Suge Knight to cameo in the film. Knight is also reportedly
suspected of having played a part in the September 1996 murder of Shakur
in Las Vegas and the March 1997 murder of Smalls in Los Angeles. Although
at this point authorities have not released any concrete proof to the public
that links Knight to the murders.
