musicNEWS:  Roadie Sues Blink-182 Over Album Title.

Blink-182 have been slapped with a lawsuit from one of their former roadies, who claims that he came up with the title to the band’s 2001 “Take Off Your Pants and Jacket.”

Larry Palm filed suit against the band last week in Los Angeles, claiming breach of oral contact, fraud, and unjust enrichment, among other allegations.

Palm alleges that the members of the group asked him to suggest an album title. He reportedly came up with the “Take Off Your Pants and Jacket,” and suggested it to the group members in early 2001.

Palm claims that the group made an oral agreement with him to compensate him by paying "a reasonable value of the use of the slogan."

It appears that the band hasn’t paid up and now Palm wants the court to award him damages that will be determined when the case goes to trial.

The band made headlines last week when word went out that they plan to call their forthcoming album, “Use Your Erection I and II,” inspired by the Guns N’ Roses albums—Use Your Illusion I & II. Whether the GNR camp will go for that pun and file a lawsuit of their own remains to be seen but Axl and Co. did file suit against the Offspring, who announced intentions of calling their new album Chinese Democrazy (You Snooze You Lose),” a tongue in cheek reference to the Axl Rose led Guns N Roses album that has been under development for close to a decade now.
