Metallica’s new album will debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s album charts, despite having their first week sales cut by 2 days (albums typically are released on Tuesdays in the U.S. and Metallica’s was release last Thursday).

Metallica’s first original studio album release in six years, “St. Anger” sold 418,000 copies last week to place it firmly at the top of the charts.  Jewel cane in second with her new album “0304,” which sold 143,000 copies according to SoundScan.

Train made a notable debut on the charts with sales of 87,000 copies of their new album “My Private Nation,” landing them at No. 6.

Last week’s No. 1 album Led Zeppelin’s “How The West Was Won” dropped to No. 9 with sales of 75,000.

Here is how the Top 10 shaped up.
