Orange, Ca – antiMUSIC is pleased to announce that The Dickies have been added to the antiFEST ’03 Summer One-off Punk n’ Roll Bash that will take place this Sunday in Hollywood, Ca.

The Dickies need no introduction to those who are familiar with punk rock as the band has been an instrumental part of the Los Angeles punk scene since their inception in 1977.

They will join the antiFEST Punk n’ Roll Bash on Sunday night before heading out on the "Fiend Fest 2003" with The Misfits, The Damned, Agnostic Front, D.I. and Balzac early next week.

The Dickies will join another legendary Southern California punk band, The Cadillac Tramps, who are headlining the show with special guests Texas Terri, Liquorfish, Pal Joey, Death Valley Driver and antiFEST 02’ vets’ Motorsoule.

The antiFEST 03’ Summer One-Off Punk n’ Roll Bash is co-produced by antiMUSIC.com and HappeninHarry.com and will take place Sunday July 20th at Slim Jim Phantom’s The Cat Club on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. (Next Door to the Whiskey A Go-Go).

“We couldn’t let the summer go by without doing something cool,” explains antiMUSIC’s editor and publisher Keavin Wiggins. “When Happenin Harry told me that he was going to book The Tramps at the Cat Club, I suggested we take things to the next level and do a summer one-off show for the antiFEST.”

The smaller size of The Cat Club was an added attraction says Keavin, “It seems pretty crazy to host a show at such an intimate club with a line up that could easily fill a venue that is 5 to 10 times larger, but that’s what actually makes this show that much cooler.  Having this lineup at The Cat Club and packing as many fans as (legally) possible into the club will make for an intimate, insane and intense night of music that won’t soon be forgotten!”

About the antiFEST.

The antiFEST is the annual 3-day music festival held in Southern California by antiMUSIC and HappeninHarry.com that showcases up and coming local bands as well as nationally known artists. This is the first one-off show of what the event organizers hope will be many for the antiFEST.

“I think it would be great to hold ‘one-off’ shows in cities across the country at some point and use those shows to not only bring in some cool national acts but also showcase talented local bands,” says Keavin. “There is no shortage of great local music as you travel to various cities across the country and it’s my hope that one day we can move the antiFEST beyond L.A. We are definitely looking in that direction, so stay tuned!”
