We have news of one of the strangest musical
parings since Elton John’s duet with Eminem.
Industrial metal rocker Rob Zombie has
teamed up with R&B crooner Lionel Richie. The duo recently recorded
a new version of “Brick House,” the classic song from Richie’s former group
The Commodores.
The song has been recorded for the soundtrack
of Rob Zombie’s film “House of 1000 Corpses” and also includes a guest
appearance from rapper Trina.
The film was written and directed
by Zombie and has been held up for release for almost two years. Universal
Pictures was originally scheduled to release the film but after viewing
the finished product, they took a pass on it. The film will finially hit
theaters in April courtesy of Lion’s Gate Pictures.
The soundtrack will also feature the title
track from Zombie, The Ramones “Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue” and 50's country
star Slim Whitman's “I Remember You”.
