Fair Set Sophomore Release
Most associate the name Aaron Sprinkle with production credits in liner notes as an all-star producer (Anberlin, Acceptance, Copeland, The Almost, Demon Hunter, Kutless, Jeremy Camp) based in Seattle, WA. However for those that pay attention, he has also been a leader of Poor Old Lu and Rose Blossom Punch and more recently Fair, who released their debut album "The Best Worst-Case Scenario" in 2006 on Tooth & Nail Records. Sprinkle and team are back with Fair's sophomore release, "Disappearing World," set to release February 9, 2010.

With their debut album, Fair received wide media acclaim. Absolutepunk.net stated that it was "toward the top of their list for 2006"; Jesusfreakhideout.com named the album "really impressive"; Emotionalpunk.com said it was "a perfect collection of songs"; Sputnikmusic.com touted that "Fair is much better than its name." It is no surprise that fans are ready for the second dose of this band who is known for sophisticated songwriting and structured pop song appeal.

"Musically I wanted to really tap into my influences, which are mostly '60s and '70s and lot of '80s too," says Sprinkle. "And that's really the feel of this record- a lot of very retro moments wearing those influences on our sleeve. The record's more dynamic and exciting in some places than the last one, but it's also more fragile and sincere in other places." - more on this story

Intervurt To Debut in March With Sound Compard To The Killers and U2
UK based Intervurt has signed with FOF Label Group/EMI for the March 23rd, 2010 release of their upcoming debut album, "Union." The group is currently streaming tracks from the album at Myspace.

"We are all really excited about this record and have an excellent team of people here at FOF/EMI. We love the States and can't wait to unleash our British rock on the American public," commented Intervurt guitarist Mark Alberici. "I think our music could work with a number of different audiences and people who like The Strokes or White Stripes could get into the album just as easily as someone who likes AC/DC or U2. We really worked hard to create music that wasn't limited by boundaries and I think we achieved that."

The 5-piece known as Intervurt has already begun making waves with their brand of melodic rock that has drawn comparisons to The Killers and U2. The group mixes infectious melodies with the dark brooding atmosphere of groups like Depeche Mode and Muse, and the powerful riffage of Queens of the Stoneage. The group somehow manages to blend everything together and create a unique sound that had the BBC Music proclaim, "This band is going to be huge." The group's electrifying stage show has earned them shows alongside The Strokes and The Raconteurs, as well as appearing at the O2 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, Get Loaded In The Park, Beautiful Days, Guilfest, Bestival, The Great Escape, and In The City.

Daphne Willis Announces Hotel Cafe Debut
Acclaimed Chicago-based singer-songwriter Daphne Willis is set to make her Los Angeles-area live music debut next week with a performance at the Hotel Cafe on January 12th.

The intimate venue, which has served as an important launching ground for such artists as Ingrid Michaelson and Sara Bareilles, will provide the perfect backdrop for an introduction to Willis' soulful, thought-provoking music.

In the little more than three years since she grabbed her acoustic guitar and took the stage for the first time, Daphne Willis has grown from a feisty neophyte into a self-assured, marvelously expressive artist with a bracingly seductive sound. The 22-year-old's Vanguard debut album, What to Say (due for release Feb. 9th) documents Willis' voyage of self-discovery, while also standing as a captivating introduction to a remarkably fresh voice with a distinctive point of view—one that both reflects and scrutinizes the social patterns of her generation.
