A singled called "Pussy," a special edition release of the album that included sex toys, banned sexual videos etc. So this report from thisisbrandx.com doesn't come entirely as a surprise: The Eastern European country of Belarus' Council for Morality has declared concerts by German hard rockers Rammstein a threat to the state. The council is pulling an upcoming Rammstein concert in Minsk, citing the group's penchant for lyrics about "violence, masochism, homosexuality and other abnormalities," and saying that allowing it to go on would prove a "costly mistake" for the country. According to Deutsche Welle: Writer Nikolai Tcherginez, head of the government's Council for Morality said he regretted that tickets had already been sold for the concert, but that if the event were to take place, the program would need to be revised in order to prevent "extremism."

After years of speculation, groundbreaking English hardcore band GBH has announced plans to release their eleventh studio album, Perfume and Piss, via Hellcat Records on April 6. There isn't a self-respecting gutter punk, hardcore kid or subcultural miscreant alive who hasn't seen the GBH logo emblazoned on the back of a leather jacket, a denim vest, or a torn-up t-shirt. And now the world will be slapped upside the head with another reminder as to exactly why GBH is so important, in the form of Perfume and Piss, the legendary and iconic punk band's first album for Hellcat Records. Barn-burning, fist-pumping, palace-gates-storming tracks like "Kids Get Down," "Cadillac One" and "This is Not the Real World" carry the torch forward with the band's trademark fury that is alternately nihilistic, optimistic, pessimistic, anarchist, violent, humorous and deadly serious all at once.

The Doves are releasing a new "best of" compilation on April 6th that will come in a single disc and multi disc versions. Here is the official word: So here we are, twelve years since Doves formed in Manchester and released the Cedar Room EP on the Casino Records imprint, and ten years since Doves epochal debut, Lost Souls was released on Astralwerks/Heavenly Recordings. In that time we have been privy to a catalogue of genre-warping singles and a quartet of albums that have forced writers to go back to the thesaurus in search of new superlatives. These are The Places Between, a multi-format Best Of that has cherry picked the best from UK number one albums: The Last Broadcast and Some Cities, last year's critically acclaimed masterpiece, Kingdom Of Rust and their generation defining debut Lost Souls. Indeed, from UK number 3 hit 'There Goes The Fear' to the Motown thump of 'Black and White Town' and the anthemic morning-after glow of 'The Cedar Room'. The Places Between has been painstakingly sequenced by Jimi, Andy and Jez themselves in the way they want you to experience their last decades work, in short this is the definitive Doves Best Of. Furthermore, in addition to a host of B sides, rarities, and unreleased tracks that make up the second disc there is a smattering of brand-new recordings, 'Blue Water', "Drifter" (Featuring Cherry Ghost's Simon Aldred) and the brilliant new single 'Andalucνa'.

Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today Cruella the frontwoman of By Blood Alone tells us about the title track from their album "Seas of Blood". We now turn it over to Cruella for the story:When I first heard the beginnings of the song that would later be known as Seas of Blood, I immediately thought of a sea-shantyesque kind of song. I have always had a very deep and emotional connection to the ocean. It holds so much power, emotion, life and Romanticism. I am tremendously fond of the way the ocean's smell will trigger memories and comforting thoughts no matter how long I may be away from it. In addition to being a place that fosters life it will also take it away. I am fascinated by the tales of loves lost at sea. The place where I lived in Portland, ME was right by the ocean and all of the historic captain's houses line the eastern promenade. Many of these homes have a widows walk aka a roof walk. The mythical romantic use of this platform was for family members to watch their loved ones go out to sea or to wait for their return, often in vain as the ocean took the lives of the mariners, leaving the women as widows. Often when I am writing the melodies and lyrics for a By Blood Alone song Romanticism takes front stage, this song cried out for a love lost at sea story. I also took information from a nature program that I watched about the ocean which infiltrated the song writing process. It was stated in this program that if you were to substitute human blood for all the ocean's water in the world that most sea life would be able to survive in it, thus Seas of Blood. The powerful ocean could take away human life and in turn human life could give it back. I enjoy the thought of this symbiotic relationship. We are water, the world is water, the sea is our blood and we are the sea. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album

Psychostick drummer Alex Preiss has announced a live webcast on Thursday, February 25 at 4pm EST. "I like to do webcasts to make a better connection with our fans," says Preiss. So it's for all of them! Come say hi, ask some questions about whatever, or you could just watch. It's important to me that everyone knows that we are accessible." Preiss continues, "I have a webcast coming up on Thursday so that I can talk to our fans about our tour coming up! I'm sure a lot of them have some questions about specific shows, lineup changes, or why I'm too lazy to fold my laundry. This is their chance to ask all of those questions."
