PR reports: Midnight Masses is an ever-expanding collective of mostly Brooklyn-based artists, led and formed by Autry Fulbright in the wake of his father's untimely death in 2008. On any given night the band could be a lean ensemble of its core members or an imposing 14-piece collection of string players, organists, and guests pulled from any number of Brooklyn's finest bands - including Trail of Dead's Kevin Allen, Jason Reece and Conrad Keely, TV on the Radio's Gerard Smith and Jaleel Bunton, the bewitching Katie Eastburn, Peter Hale of Here We Go Magic, and more. Midnight Masses is preparing to gather once again for Rapture Ready, I Gazed At The Body, their debut EP, set for release on November 10th via Collect Records.

Century Media reports: Winds Of Plague are extremely pleased to announce the addition of Lisa Marx (ex-Kittie, Day of Contempt) on keyboards, who is currently now with the band for intense rehearsals for their much anticipated trek, dubbed "The California Love" fall tour. This is shaping up to be the most epic and visually stunning stage show of the band's career. This lengthy headlining run kicks off on Nov. 20th and also features Stick To Your Guns, Sleeping Giant, Oceano and Circle of Contempt in the support slots. Johnny (vocals) further comments: "We just completed an extremely successful Japanese tour with our brothers in Terror and made a few much needed changes within our camp upon returning home. We owe it to our dedicated fans to bring them the best show possible each and every night and the addition of Lisa Marx to our line-up is going to allow just that. We are currently holed up rehearsing intensely for the upcoming headlining fall tour and we are pulling out all the stops with this event.

PR reports: Six Shooter Records' Luke Doucet will be touring the U.S. this fall, along with his band, The White Falcon, which includes his wife Melissa McClelland on vocals and guitar. Doucet is Canadian, but just like his heroes (and fellow countrymen) Neil Young and Rick Danko, he has laced his unique music with Americana, country, and plenty of twang. Luke's 'Blood's Too Rich,' out now on Six Shooter, is a sprawling album of the aforementioned genres bridged by rock, both classic and contemporary, paying homage to his heroes, his native land, and everything south of it. Guitar Player says, "['Blood's Too Rich'] is twangy, rootsy and just plain awesome."

Submitted News reports: MV & EE will be celebrating the release of their latest album with select Northern American tour dates. Still harvesting and sustaining in the deep woods of Vermont , MV & EE (Matt "MV" Valentine, once the brawn of the Tower Recordings, and Erika "EE" Elder, CEO of Heroine Celestial Agriculture and The MV & EE Medicine Show) are following their 2008 release Drone Trailer with their feature-film-for-the-blind Barn Nova, which marks their return to the Ecstatic Peace! label. I'm very much hoping you'd consider advancing their show with a feature, CD review or advance blurb.MV & EE aspire to the sort of beautifully rewarding standard in their documented output that Sun Ra or The Grateful Dead achieved. It is with Ecstatic Peace! that their most consistent works have been born and continue reach fans with The Golden Road, their most constant band. Together with Doc Dunn (pedal steel, rhythm guitar, vocals, drums) and Mike Smith (Rickenbacker 4001, vocals) who appeared on Drone Trailer as well as J Mascis (drums, guitar, plate reverb) and Woods' Jeremy Earl (vocal, drums) they take you on the ride now known as Barn Nova and here they jam. Justin Pizzoferrato also appears contributing percussion, space echo and aiding once again at the controls. This album was recorded at MV & EE's own home studio "Maximum Arousal Farm" as well as their current local New England rooms of choice, "Bank Row" (an old mid 1900's bank) and J's home studio "Bisquiteen."

Bob Seger immortalized the Ann Arbor's main drag with his reflective hit "Mainstreet" at about the same time that, on the outskirts of town, a young Jim Osterberg was changing his name to Iggy Pop and writing hopped-up songs like "I Wanna Be Your Dog."
