Metal Underground reports: Hail! has announced that drummer Paul Bostaph (Slayer, Testament) will be accompanying them for their upcoming tour dates in November and December. Bostaph will be joining bassist David Ellefson, singer Ripper Owens (former Judas Priest, current Yngwie Malmsteen) and guitarist Andreas Kisser (Sepultura).Asked how Paul Bostaph came to play with Hail!, Ellefson replied "After Jimmy DeGrasso became unavailable due to his touring commitments with Alice Cooper, Roy Mayorga came aboard and just slammed for us. His playing throughout the Scandinavian dates was unbelievable, but now he's heading back into the studio with Stone Sour, so he's unavailable for the next round of shows. We immediately thought of Paul. With Alex Skolnik out playing with Trans-Siberian Orchestra a small window opened in the Testament schedule where Paul became available and we jumped at the opportunity." Bostaph shared his excitement, "To play with Tim, Andreas and Dave? Talk about an honor, these guys are metal gods! I thought it was super cool when I first heard about HAIL! and what they were doing. Now to be a part of it is amazing. I'm really looking forward to it and can't wait."

PR reports: Progressive Metallers Shadow Gallery have now launched a first full new promo song off their 6th studio effort "Digital Ghosts", which will be released on November 3rd, 2009 in North America via InsideOutMusic.Shadow Gallery's Brendt Allman comments the song as follows: "Gold Dust is one of the 1st songs that I started writing for this new record. I just loved the D/ B flat/ E progression used in the chorus, then I just built the other parts around that. I knew that it could be a strong chorus and it turned out to be one of the best on the record. I particularly love the simplicity of the chord changes in the second half of the song, riding one note on the guitar in machine gun fashion while having pretty chord changes over the top of it. I love the fact that there are 4 lead vocalists on that section as well." Next to the regular CD and Digital Download version of "Digital Ghosts", which introduces new lead singer Brian Ashland, there will also be a very special limited edition Digipak released in Europe with expanded and slightly modified artwork as well as 4 special bonus tracks *:

PR reports: British band DeeExpus revealed the title of the follow up to their highly acclaimed debut album "Half Way Home". The New Album, entitled "King of Number 33", is planned to be released around May 2010 to coincidence with the band's first ever gig in USA at ROSfest 2010. Andy Ditchfield: "Writing and production has begun in earnest and will feature all members of the band. At present we have two songs almost completed alongside a multitude of recorded ideas, riffs and passages. As we did with Half Way Home, we are hoping to post one or two videos on YouTube during the course of the albums production, so stay tuned for those."Tony Wright explains the lyrical concept behind the forthcoming album: "The King of Number 33 is a tale based loosely on a local eccentric from my childhood. This man used to sit behind the driver on the local rural bus all day, every day, for several years - never saying a word to anyone, never going anywhere- just backwards and forwards between the two towns until the route finished for the night and he would go home and wait for the morning journey. One day he disappeared and rumours abounded amongst the local youth as to what happened to him. It transpired that Social Services became involved after a complaint from a member of the public that he'd made her feel uneasy. He hadn't done anything, she was just ignorant. Anyway, he was subsequently refused travel on the bus and proceeded to have psychotic episodes culminating in his being sectioned under the mental health act. The King of Number 33 is my take on his story..." You can already have a sneak preview of "King of Number 33" as one of the new tracks - "Me And My Downfall" - was recorded at soundcheck during the band's most recent tour with Touchstone
