AP reports: Chris Brown briefly appeared in court Thursday, hours after he was charged with two felonies stemming from what a police detective describes as a brutal argument between the singer and his girlfriend, Rihanna.Brown's arraignment was postponed until April 6 on charges of assault likely to cause great bodily injury and making criminal threats. The 19-year-old R&B singer remains free on $50,000 bail. Details released Thursday offer a starkly different portrait of Brown than the squeaky-clean image he has cultivated. The young man once praised for his Michael Jackson-esque dance moves is described in a detective's affidavit as punching his girlfriend, biting her ear and trying to choke her until she nearly lost consciousness.

antiMusic reports: Tween twit Miley Cyrus vows to ruin Radiohead after they had the nerve to snub the pop princess at the Grammy Awards! The Disney character apparently sounded off during an interview with a radio station, claiming that Radiohead, the band she claims is the reason she loves music, didn't drop everything they were doing to give her the time of day. Here we thought that Iron Maiden was her favorite band. Apparently her handlers reached out to their handlers expressing the poptart's interest in meeting the famed UK rockers and Miley's people were told that "the band doesn't really do that." "The reason I'm in this business is to make people happy," she said implying that Radiohead aren't according to NME. "I left 'cause I was so upset. I wasn't going to watch. Stinkin' Radiohead! I'm gonna ruin them, I'm going to tell everyone." Gotta love Tween poptart egos!

Blabbermouth reports: Korn and Limp Bizkit toured together several times during the late '90s, most notably on the first edition of Korn's Family Values tour, and the two bands were right at the forefront of the "nu-metal" movement at the time. But now that Limp Bizkit is reuniting after being on hiatus for several years, Korn frontman Jonathan Davis says that his relationship with singer Fred Durst has been strained for a while. "I'm happy that they're gonna play, but I just hope Fred just isn't an ass like he usually is," he said. "We'll see what happens. Hopefully Fred's got it together, 'cause there was one time when Fred was a really cool guy. The fame hit and went to his head. So I miss the old Fred. He was my buddy. So maybe he's humbled now and if he's like that then I'd definitely hang with him and be friends with him again." Limp Bizkit announced last month that its original lineup was getting back together for a summer tour and new album, its first since 2003.

Blabbermouth reports: Papa Roach was sued late last year by former drummer Dave Buckner, who claimed that he had not been receiving his fair share of the group's earnings and that he had not received a complete accounting from the group or its management. Frontman Jacoby Shaddix said this week that the suit is currently being settled, and that his feelings about Buckner have not been affected by it. "Legal is legal, you know, but it's like the essence of the lawsuit is to dissolve his business relationship with us, which is completely understandable," he said. "But as far as like personal goes, I, you know, we wish no ill will on him, and he's got a new project he's doing with actually a good friend of ours from back home, Jake. They've got a thing called Last Angels that they're doing." Papa Roach permanently split with Buckner at the beginning of 2008, following a year-long period in which he went to rehab twice. He was replaced by ex-Unwritten Law drummer Tony Palermo.

MusicRadar reports: A vague piece of music 'research' has caused much amusement in the last few days. It's by a Californian student called Virgil Griffith, and is an interesting (albeit rather unscientific) study mapping music tastes with average SAT scores.According to a Wall Street Journal blog post, Griffith "used aggregated Facebook data about the favorite bands and books among students of various colleges and plotted them against the average SAT scores at those schools, creating a tongue-in-cheek statistical look at taste and intelligence." His findings?- The 'smartest' students' favorite musician is Beethoven (average SAT score of 1371). Other artists at the top of the scale are Counting Crows, Radiohead and Sufjan Stevens. - The 'less-smart' students' favorite artist is Lil Wayne (average SAT score of 889). Artists alongside Lil Wayne at the bottom include Beyonce, TI and any soca musician.
- [Uh huh uh huh, yeah yeah.]

MusicRadar reports: Chris Martin has responded to Bono's assertion that he's "a wanker" by revealing that he respects him.According to The Sun, Martin commented on the U2 frontman's jokey barb in typically well-mannered fashion by saying: "I always thought he felt that way. PR reports: Beverly Hills publisher Phoenix Books will release Poisoned Heart: I Married Dee Dee Ramone by Vera Ramone King (Phoenix Books, June 2009, $22.95). Featuring dozens of never-before-seen pictures and a foreword by Tom Tom Club and Talking Heads legends Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth, here's the real, raw story of the Ramones—one of the greatest rock groups ever—as told by the woman who shared Dee Dee's life. Dee Dee Ramone defined the punk-rock lifestyle. Rash, often violent, and plagued by his addictions and his own demons, Dee Dee was also a brilliant music pioneer who lived and breathed his art and found his greatest joy playing live for ecstatic fans. Stripping rock n' roll to the basics – three chords, a blaring guitar, chaotic rhythms and often mindless lyrics, the Ramones took the 70's by storm.
