Blabbermouth reports: Who didn't see this one coming? At least Anthrax ends up with a great singer.... for one show. Who knows what that could lead to? Blabbermouth has the story: Anthrax's manager, Izvor Zivkovic of Split Media, has released the following statement to Blabbermouth.Net: "As announced last week, thrash legends Anthrax regretfully cancelled the first three dates on the second leg of their European tour due to new vocalist Dan Nelson's unexpected illness. In light of this development, Anthrax's slot on the U.S. SLIPKNOT dates set for August and September, has also been cancelled. ANTHRAX is already actively considering lead singer candidates, and looks forward to hitting the road before the end of the year." ***UPDATE: According to Anthrax's management, the band's new album, "Worship Music", which was previously due in Europe on October 23 via Nuclear Blast Records, will now be "pushed back to a later date."

FMQB reports: Blink-182 is pulling out all the stops for their upcoming reunion tour, with a stage show designed by Martin Phillips, who has worked with Kayne West, Nine Inch Nails and Daft Punk in the past. Blink's Mark Hoppus told Rolling Stone that the show production "is just ridiculous. All of our techs have been down there to see the stage set up, and they're e-mailing me, going, 'Oh my God, there are so many speakers, just so many lights.' I haven't seen it myself, but the pictures I've seen look ridiculous. Everything kind of moves and joins and separates to make these huge video screens, so it's pretty complicated." "I think right now people want to go to a show and see the Blink that they remember seeing or the Blink that they never got to see," Hoppus adds.

PR reports: Drivin' N' Cryin' will put out their first record in twelve years. Great American Bubble Factory will be released on September 29, 2009 on Vintage Earth Music with marketing and distribution provided by Thirty Tigers/RED. "This record is the perfect crescendo to a long twenty-plus year career of the band. I think we've found the true essence of what we started to build back in 1985," says Kevn Kinney. Drivin' N' Cryin' originally started recording demos for this album on September 10, 2001. After 9/11 the band abandoned the sessions after deciding the time wasn't right for their stories of blue-collar optimism. They returned to Sonica Studios in Atlanta earlier this year where the band produced the album in collaboration with Anton Fier, who produced their 1987 album Whisper Tames the Lion and James Barber, their ex-manager-turned-producer.

antiMusic reports: Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today The Product's frontman BJ tells us about "Nightmare" from their brand debut EP, 'Break the Silence.' We now turn it over to BJ for the story:A Nightmare is something all of us have experienced, a terrifying dream that sometimes lasts forever or a single quick image in which we quickly awaken. They stick with us, haunt us, and keep us awake. Nightmare is about a person whose life is incomplete. They are living a nightmare and are afraid they'll never wake up from it. They are searching for help from a friend and looking for a way out. Unsure of what to do they continue doing what they have been all along, living in this nightmare. Eventually they find what they are looking for and wake up from the terrifying dream they have been in. I wrote Nightmare because I felt it was such a relatable topic. I felt someone could listen to the song and after one time realize they aren't alone in whatever it is they are going through. I also wanted to give them hope in that they can overcome whatever is they are going through. Hope is something we all need. We all have nightmares and we all eventually wake up. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album
