antiMusic reports: This is just too silly to pass up. Angryape has the report: Lily Allen has made yet more controversial comments in a recent interview. The singer had a Catholic upbringing and tells Word magazine that it conflicted with her life at home. "I don't like Christianity much." Allen says, "I was brought up in a Catholic school and they told me gays, adultery and drugs were bad. All my mum's friends were gay, my dad was having affairs and there were drugs in the house when I was a kid, so it was a bit cruel." [So was the school cruel or was it her parents gay drug affairs?]

Filter reports: In a recent interview with Filter magazine, Morrissey talked about his music, his life, the new record (Years of Refusal, February 17), and as you will find below, the prospect of quitting the biz. Here's the nugget:How many more years do you want to continue making music? Morrissey: "I don't want to go on much longer, really. I think that would suggest a lack of imagination. A certain lack of dignity also. There has to reach a point where you've said enough, I think." For the complete interview and cover article, check out the next issue of Filter, hitting the stands in February.

MusicRadar reports: Ex-Pantera and current Hellyeah drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott is selling his first cell phone on eBay. This might sound strange, but compared to the oven he sold last summer, it's relatively normal…There is, of course, more to it than that: the mobile phone – a Motorola Micro T-A-C UTE II – was a birthday gift from Vinnie's brother and guitar legend Dimebag Darrell. It's signed (by Vinnie, not Dimebag) in several places and it comes complete with batteries, a charger and a car-charger adaptor.

Kayos reports: Eagle Rock Entertainment will release two major Blu-ray events next month when Trilogy by The Cure hits streets February 3 and The Who's Live At The Isle Of Wight Festival 1970 lands February 24. As one of the most enduring and popular bands of the post-punk era, The Cure, led by eccentric visionary singer/songwriter/guitarist Robert Smith, excelled at the art of the slow burn. Their doom'n'gloom affectations, exacerbated by Smith's ghoulish public persona, hipped a whole generation to the ironic stance of positive negativism, pre-dating emo by over a decade. Trilogy is just that: three classic Cure albums—Pornography (released 1982), Disintegration (released 1989) and Bloodflowers (released 2000)—all performed in their entirety on three straight nights in 2002. Bonus footage includes a 30-minute interview with the entire band and a special two-song encore set consists of "If Only Tonight We Could Sleep" and "The Kiss." Total running time for this Blu-ray DVD is approximately 223 minutes.

Angry Ape reports: Ne-Yo has hit back at allegations he is gay, after comments he made in an interview were taken the wrong way. Talking to People Magazine, the 'Miss Independent' singer said Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy had moved next door and advised him to keep his clothes on.Ne-Yo was heard saying: "Just chillin' one day, I was like, 'Is that... Jeezy? I hit him up: 'Yo, you probably shouldn't walk around naked - I can see you." The statement then hit the internet with various websites suggesting the 'Closer' star was homosexual - a claim he has responded to on his MySpace blog. "The whole gay thing. For goodness sake it's been 4 years!!!! Y'all still on that huh?" Ne-Yo writes. "The whole 'boys' song, and the song 'go over there'. See this is what happens when people steal. These songs were clearly written for women… suddenly everybody forgets that I write songs for women."

PR reports: Willie Nelson & Asleep At The Wheel will release Willie And The Wheel in stores and digitally on February 3, 2009 via Bismeaux Records. Jerry Wexler's long-overdue concept album takes Willie Nelson back to his musical roots. Teamed up with Ray Benson and the master musicianship of Asleep At The Wheel, this instand classic celebrates the timeless appeal of a most unique and spirited American music genre. Fall in love with Western Swing... again. Thirty years after the idea was first introduced, Willie Nelson has teamed up with Asleep At The Wheel for a western-swing album, and its February release will coincide with a 10-date joint tour. The album, titled Willie And The Wheel, features a dozen classic songs from the swing genre, which was most famously represented by Bob Wills, a fiddler and band leader who influenced both Willie and Wheel founder Ray Benson. The duet album was originally suggested by legendary record producer Jerry Wexler during the 1970s, when Willie briefly recorded for Atlantic Records. Wexler, who produced such hits as Aretha Franklin's "Respect" and Wilson Pickett's "In The Midnight Hour," died in August, but he produced Willie And The Wheel before his passing.

antiMusic reports: Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today Biff Byford from Saxon tells us about "Live To Rock" from their brand new album "Into the Labyrinth". We now turn it over to Biff for the story:The song is inspired by my days at school. A teenager of 13 my friends brother was a guitarist in a band and I would sit in lessons at school day dreaming of being in that band parents and teachers said I should get a real job but I had the unstoppable feeling of wanting to be involved in music . The idea of the riff is something close to our 80s song wheels of steel and the who it sounds a strange mixture but I think it works really well. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album
