Sublime Reunion?
Punknews.org reports: Rumors abound that some version of Sublime will be reuniting on February 28th at Cantino Los Tres Hobres in Nevada.

The venue lists the show as "S*blime" and Bud Gaugh (of Sublime) notes: "VERY VERY special guests performing. Trust us, you will kick yourself in the ass with spiked steel-toe boots if you miss this show. "

Last year, a slide show on The Bamboozle's official website also hinted at a reunion. Although Sublime effectively dissolved after the death of vocalist Bradley Nowell in May of 1996, sources have reported that the surviving members of the band have been working with a new vocalist. - More Punk News

Band Sues President
Yahoo Music reports: MGMT are suing French President Nicolas Sarkozy--accusing him of using their hit "Kids" in online videos without permission.

Sarkozy has admitted using the song at the UMP party's national congress, but claims the lack of permission was a mistake and offered the band one euro as a gesture, reports BBC News.

The duo rejected the offer and are now seeking compensation. Their lawyer, Isabelle Wekstein, said a fee of 53 Euros ($90) had initially been paid to gain use of the song was not enough.

Black Metalers Arrested For Torching 16th Century Chapel
Metal Underground reports: A court in Brittany heard yesterday how four members of a fanatical black metal anti-Christian sect went on alcohol fuelled rampages smashing ancient granite crosses in cemeteries and torching a 16th century chapel classified as an ancient monument.

With a satanic bible in the boot of their car and using a tourist guide to pilgrimage sites they selected holy places of worship where they claimed Catholic saints had raised ancient Celtic pagan monuments replacing them with Christian churches and chapels.

They scrawled satanic symbols and inverted crosses on premises they defiled - all in the name of their sect, True Armorik Black Metal. The Court heard how two of the group all aged in their twenties were members of a black metal music group, the words in their songs glorified Hitler as the new anti-Christ and invoked scenes from The Silence Of The Lambs. - more on this story

Def Leppard, Cheap Trick and Poison Team Up
Reuters reports: British rock band Def Leppard will launch a 40-date North American tour in Camden, N.J., on June 23, bringing along Poison and Cheap Trick on the trek.

This isn't the first time that Def Leppard has teamed with established acts. In 2005, the band toured with Bryan Adams, and last year had Styx and REO Speedwagon join them. Singer Joe Elliott seems to thrive on packing a wallop in a shortened amount of time.

"We're going out with three bands, which limits the amount of time we can play to about 90 minutes," he told Billboard.com. "When you do your greatest hits and some new material or extra stuff you might throw in, you have got to push and shove and clamp down. No big long speeches from moi. You have to do the AC/DC thing and just bang through everything." - more on this story
