Gibson reports: Thinking about getting a divorce? Even though the country's top divorce lawyers say there's a nationwide drop in divorces due to the economic downturn, there's still quite a large number of affected couples, including the likes of Madonna and Guy Ritchie, MLB player Alex Rodriguez, Dixie Chick Emily Robison, Phil Collins, Danny Bonaduce, etc. Gibson.com put together the ultimate playlist to get you through the mudslinging, late night boozing and sobbing over losing your favorite lamp. What the heck
we're always trying to help!Beck "Lost Cause" What made rock's biggest party starter turn out an album full of weepy ballads? Oh, nothing except the end of his nine year relationship with fiancιe Leigh Limon. "I'm tired of fighting/ Fighting for a lost cause." And he was. Bob Dylan "Tangled Up In Blue" With the disintegration of his marriage to Sara Lowndes, Bob Dylan delivered the ultimate divorce album, Blood On The Tracks, with this particular track as its centerpiece. "We always did feel the same/We just saw it from a different point of view." Elvis Costello "I Hope You're Happy Now" Even before he opens his mouth, the menacing opening chords of this song spell it out. Elvis is bitter. Elvis is jealous. Elvis hopes you're happy now, but not really. "I knew then what I know now I never loved you anyhow."

PR reports: Legendary New York band Boss Hog will be returning to the New York stage on Wednesday, December 17, headlining an incendiary evening of outrageously perverse rock'n'roll, degenerate burlesque, and chasm-like grooves. Led by the wildly sexy and completely unpredictable punk chanteuse Cristina Martinez and her blues-exploding husband Jon Spencer, this will mark Boss Hog's first hometown show since 2000. Boss Hog's 1989 debut as a last-minute fill in at CBGBs saw the beginning of a rotating line-up featuring members of New York's noisiest gentry, Pussy Galore, the Honeymoon Killers, and the Unsane, before finally evolving into the classic team of Cristina Martinez, Jon Spencer, Hollis Queens, Jens Jurgensen, and Mark Boyce for the decidedly slinkier Boss Hog. The entire entourage will be on hand for this powerhouse return.

conqueroo reports: Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys were the originators and best-known practitioners of Western swing, their repertoire including classics like "New San Antonio Rose," "Faded Love" and "Take Me Back to Tulsa." In 1945, Wills teamed up with Oakland, Calif. disc jockey Cliff "Cactus Jack" Johnson and businessman Clifford Sundlin to launch Tiffany Music, Inc. The company's goal was to supply syndicated radio programs to subscribing stations. Wills and the Playboys were the featured performers. These programs, known as the Tiffany Transcriptions, have been assembled into a 10-disc, 150-song box set the first-ever box set from venerable reissue label Collectors' Choice Music. The collection, due for a January 27, 2008 street date, is fully and lovingly remastered by Bob Fisher (who has been waiting years for a crack at 'em) and features liner notes by Wills expert Rich Kienzle, who writes: "For all the great records Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys made in 1946-47 for Columbia and MGM and there were plenty the Tiffany sessions captured something deeper, intangible and vibrant, music that even the occasional miscue or missed note can't diminish. It represents the very soul, spirit and musical passion of Bob and the band as they really were on those Western and Southwestern bandstands. Sixty years later, it still sounds like yesterday." The package also features written testimonials from the next generation of Western swing stars. "To be honest," writes Asleep at the Wheel's Ray Benson, "without the Tiffany Transcriptions, Asleep at the Wheel would not have had the materials needed to become proficient Western swingers . . . which I hope we are." Riders in the Sky's Ranger Doug adds, "I am honored, I am blessed, I am grateful, and I am a fan of the Texas Playboys forever."

TMZ reports: Suge Knight now claims the Barstow cops did to his one ear what Kanye West did to his other.Suge now claims in his U.S. Bankruptcy case while he was in custody back in 2005, he was passed around like a $2 whore -- from Barstow police to the West Valley Detention Center to the California Institution for Men. Somewhere along the way, Suge says his diamond stud earring was stolen. Interesting, because Suge just filed a lawsuit against Kanye West, claiming West was responsible for another Suge earring heist -- Kanye was hosting a party in 2005, Suge was shot and his $135,000 earring allegedly was pilfered off his bleeding body.

This is what a real rock band should sound like. At its heart is the paranoid sense of doom Black Sabbath proposed. From there, the orchestral aspirations of Queen collide with the mind-altering mechanics of Pink Floyd and the everyman appeal of the Beatles.
