New York's favorite Brazilian party band steps out this summer with a schedule of festival and club dates. The five-piece outfit favored by Steve Earle and David Byrne for their modern interpretation of the traditional Brazilian dance style known as forrσ also has a new EP titled Dia de Roda slated for digital release on Nublu Records on May 13.
Dia de Roda is a five-song collection that kicks off with a reggae inspired jam, whips through some sweat-inducing Brazilian backcountry grooves, and ends up with rockabilly-inflected forrσ finale, the perfect soundtrack for warm weather hi-jinks.
