antiMusic reports: Most people got their first taste of Neal Smith's talent on most of Alice Cooper's classic songs. But to get the full Neal Smith experience you have to hear the new Killsmith album 'Sexual Savior,' where Neal not only wrote all the songs and played almost all of the instruments but also produced it! Last month Morley spoke with Neal about the album in details and we're including just a small part of that conversation here this week as Neal walks us through some of his favorite tracks from the CD. To conclude the special, today Neal tells us how he picked "Sexual Savior" as the title track to the album:As a title, well you know, I guess it's like everything else. When you write a song, you write an album, I like to have a song that's representative of everything you're trying to do; now we always didn't do it. 'Love it to Death,' we didn't have a song called "Love it to Death", but certainly 'Killer,' we did have a song called "Killer", and School's Out as well. 'Billion Dollar Babies' and 'Muscle of Love. ' It's sort of traditional with the original Alice Cooper. I haven't always done that but I like to do that if it works. And in this situation, that song is tough enough to represent KillSmith, and 'Sexual Savior ' certainly represents the sexual part of rock and roll, and what this project was about. And like you said, the 16 page booklet inside is certainly representative of that. If you haven't checked out Morley's full interview yet, then hop to it! It's well worth the click.

idolator reports: The Los Angeles Times' Chris Lee has provided a little bit of gross context for his Stone Temple Pilots profile on the paper's blog. At the same time Weiland was giving the writer quotes like "I live my life the way I live my life. I don't have to make any apologies," he was also launching "huge green" loogies at the wall behind the DeLeo brothers, who did not seem ruffled by the sudden appearance of expectorate. While I admire Weiland's indignation ("hey, how does it feel to be going to jail for six hours?" is indeed a douche move), Lou Reed knows that while loogies may not be forgotten by those who witness their deployment, retorts along the lines of "What are you, a f**king asshole?" read better in print.

Hecklerspray reports: Miley Cyrus isn't just kittens and cupcakes anymore. She's angry, and she's attempting to make the predictable jump from super sweet to angry and edgy in her new album. No, really. She totally is. Boys make Miley Cyrus more than mad, they make her (gasp) angry. That's right, her new album is going to be all hardcore and angry, and stuff. Miley unleashed her terrifying rage to Ryan Seacrest in a radio interview for KIIS-FM on Wednesday. Parental discretion is advised for reading the following statement from Miley as she describes her wrath about ex-boyfriends: "The word 'hate' could describe how angry I am. [It goes] through all the different stages of what's been going on the past couple years," Miley said. "It was like a little therapy moment for me." Aside from those stages which include pre-training brassiere stage, training brassiere stage, and post-training brassiere stage, Miley has gone through some difficult stuff when it comes to boys, and she's hoping to get back at them through song. Miley also said: "I want them to be upset. That was my point. I was a little worried, but I'm excited that I just did it."

Blabbermouth reports: According to Finland's Record Shop X, the Finnish release date for the new Metallica album, "Death Magnetic", is Wednesday, September 17. Although no official release date has yet been announced, it is likely that the CD will be issued in the U.S. on September 16, with most of continental Europe receiving the album on Monday, September 15 (except Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where fans will presumably be able to purchase the CD on Friday, September 12).

antiMusic reports: A couple of readers wrote in and asked why we are on GNR overload. Our plan is to post at least one GNR story a day until a firm release date for 'Chinese Democracy' is set. This is our form of protest over the delay. It may sound crazy to give them press to pressure them to put out an album, but the reality is if they don't hurry it up, then people are going to be sick of hearing about GNR by the time the alleged album comes out. With that in mind, here is today's Patience Meter® reading: it has been 5,330 days since the last new Guns N' Roses album was released. Now on to today's story: It's a little strange that the best source of information about Guns N' Roses these days is coming from Sebastian Bach, but he and Axl are buddies and we'll take what we can get. Rolling Stone spoke with Bach recently during the conversation Sebastian said that he has heard "at least four albums' worth" of finished Guns N' Roses songs. He recounted the tale of a night at Electric Lady studios in New York back in January 2007 when Axl had a bit of a listening party from midnight to 6 AM. Bach says Axl told him that one slow, grinding song called 'The General' is "the sequel to 'Estranged,' that goes to the parable that Del James wrote of the trilogy" "He's like the George Lucas of rock," Bach said. "I know for a fact it's not him saying, 'Let's wait and work on [Chinese Democracy] some more. He has a whole new business team. Irving Azoff is in control, along with Andy Gould. They are trying to figure out the best way to put the music out."

antiMusic reports: We ran into a few reports about this story but Hecklerspray's as usual was the most honest. So here is party of their report: Kanye West's stock in trade is furious, barely-legible indignation about people not realising that he's the greatest human in history, but he's outdone himself this time. Not so long ago Kanye West performed a set at the Bonnaroo music festival that didn't go so well, possibly because he kept his crowd waiting for eight hours before finally dragging himself onstage at about 4:30am. And since Kanye West is a sage so wise that he rivals all of history's greatest thinkers, he's taken to the internet to construct a well-considered explanation for the mix up. Just kidding - Kanye West's gone batsh*t! Properly, 94-exclamation-marks-in-a-row batsh*t. All-capital batsh*t. Confused, badly-formed batsh*t that doesn't make any sense. Hecklerspray commenter batsh*t. We're scared: "This Bonnaroo thing is the worst insult I've ever had in my life. This is the most offended I've ever been… this is the maddest I ever will be. I'm typing so fucking hard I might break my fucking Mac book Air!!!!!!!! JUST SAY THIS OUT LOUD IN A ROOM FULL OF PEOPLE, "KANYE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT GIVING A GOOD PERFORMANCE." CAN ANYONE HONESTLY SAY THAT ????????? PEARL JAM ENDED ONE HOUR LATE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AT THAT POINT WE'RE RACING AGAINST THE SUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Blabbermouth reports: It seems church services at Believers Fellowship Church [in Revloc, Pennsylvania] have become part of a rock 'n' soul showdown between a lively congregation and a heavy metal-loving neighbor.Since Joe Vermeulin moved into the former Holy Redeemer Church parsonage next door, church members say their services have been interrupted by outdoor speakers blaring Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson and AC/DC's ditty "Hell's Bells", creating friction between the sides. But Vermeulin, whose home is about 15 feet from the church, and some neighbors believe the church's musical worship and electric praise band are too loud. [could be worse, he could be blasting Slayer]

idolator reports: So here's how the great "I'm N Luv (Wit A Stripper)" heist of 2005 went down. Three producers—Rodney King (no, not him), Jeff Byrd, and James Reese—wrote a song named "Makin' Luv 2 A Player" in 1997, which was then recorded by Antonio Fargas, a.k.a. TV's "Huggy Bear." A year later, King and Fargas met with Steve Rifkind, then-owner of Loud Records, who was interested in having the Wu-Tang Clan or Fat Joe redo the track. The parties couldn't come to a mutual agreement, but Rifkind allegedly kept a copy of the song. Eventually, according to the producers, T-Pain was given a copy of the song by Akon; his label Konvict Music, which signed T-Pain, was connected to Rifkind's SRC Records. Because this Antonio Fargas track is just that damn good.... More than 100 parties are listed in the lawsuit, which helps explain why the writers waited until well after the song reached its maximum cultural saturation to file suit.

PR reports: This summer, Extreme will release Saudades de Rock (pronounced "sow-dodge"), their first studio album in thirteen years which will coincide with their first world tour in over twelve years. Saudades de Rock will be released on August 12th on Open E Records and distributed by Fontana. The rock foursome - vocalist Gary Cherone, guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, bassist Pat Badger and new drummer Kevin Figueiredo – recorded their fifth studio offering at NRG Studios in Los Angeles with Bettencourt at the helm as producer and mixer. Saudades de Rock boasts 13 tracks."'Saudades' was always a beautiful word to me," Bettencourt explains about the Portuguese album moniker. "It expresses a longing; an underlying sadness for something or someone that's been missing in your life, and never quite sure if it will ever return. In this case, for us, it's Rock and Roll. Saudades de Rock." Gary Cherone adds, "I like how it expresses that longing we've been feeling to play for our fans and be together again."
