Metal Underground reports: UK Death metal band Bolt Thrower has delayed the recording of their new album. The band issued the following statement on their website:We've spent the last year trying to write songs for a new album, planning to go into the studio this summer, unfortunately, after a lot of thought, we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone the recording indefinitely. We know everybody says that their new album is better than their last, but with us we really believed that. From day one we made it clear that we'd stop recording when we felt we'd written the ultimate Bolt Thrower album, we just never knew when that would be, we kind of took for granted that each release would get better and better. But we have realised now that our last release, "Those Once Loyal" turned out to be that album

PR reports: Neal Morse has accomplished the almost unheard of in commercial music: After 15 years, 22 albums, 3 bands, and 4 concert DVDs, his last two albums (Sola Scriptura and Question) have been received as his best. Now, Morse and his new band bring both albums to the screen, live on 2 DVDS; plus over an hour of other great performances, and 100 minutes of behind-the-scene footage. Sola Scriptura was one of the most ambitious, controversial, and critically acclaimed progressive rock albums in recent memory. The album finds Morse unflinching in his depiction of corruption in the Church throughout history, and the consequences of humankind's attempts to elevate itself to God. Lauded equally in Europe and the United States by the mainstream and CCM press, the album adorned numerous "Best of 2007" lists. Question is a journey on the timeless quest to find the dwelling place of God. Lyrically, Neal creates a compelling story-line that owes as much to C.S. Lewis as Indiana Jones. Neal searches through history, within the nature of men, and across Neal's own life. The accolades range by genre from mainstream progressive rock (Dutch Prog Rock Pages, Netherlands: "Top 5 Albums of the Year"), to Contemporary Christian (Cross Rhythms, UK: "10 out of 10 stars"), to modern rock (The National Review Online, US: "Album of the Year"), to hardcore metal (Metal Glory, Germany: "10 out of 10 stars").

PR reports: On Saturday June 14th, George Jones and his 1957 Martin 000-18 acoustic guitar will reunite after 46 years of separation. In 1962, Jones and the guitar parted ways
but not on mutual terms. The guitar was stolen, by two boys looking to sell it for "beer money," from Jones while he performed a series of shows at Panther Hall in Ft. Worth, Texas. A short time after stealing the guitar from Jones, the two youngsters sold it to a man by the name of Larry Berry. The guitar, equipped with a strap that includes Jones' name bordered with streaks of "White Lightning," was sold to Berry for ten dollars. Now, almost 50 years later, the guitar will be returned to its rightful owner. Larry Berry recently contacted Tom Perryman of 104.1 "The Ranch" (KKUS-FM) in Tyler, Texas, in attempt to reach Jones regarding the stolen guitar. The attempt to contact Jones was successful.

PR reports: Valencia return to the road with a week of headlining warm-up dates before embarking on this summer's annual Warped Tour, which kicks off June 20 in Southern California. The band frontman Shane Henderson, guitarists JD Perry and Brendan Walter, bassist George Ciukurescu and drummer Max Soria return to the road with a renewed vigor, refreshing optimism, and their sophomore release and major label debut for Columbia Records, We All Need A Reason To Believe, which is set to street August 26. Produced by Ariel Rechtshaid [Plain White T's, We Are Scientists, Say Anything], the new album charts the band's musical path from adolescence to adulthood. It's the type of upbeat and optimistic album Valencia needed to make, and America needs to hear. "So much of the music out there now is negative, it's all about someone complaining about their life," says Henderson. "That's why we wrote this record. We wanted to write about how you should be happy and you shouldn't let what happens in your life upset you."

PR reports: Metal Mind Productions present re-release of Artillery's debut album "Fear Of Tomorrow" in a new digipak edition limited to 2000 copies. New digipak edition includes 7 bonus tracks. Digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on golden disc. The re-issue will be available on 21st July 2008 in Europe and 2nd September 2008 in USA (via MVD).Back in the 80's they were one of the biggest European thrash sensations on the scene characterized by intense, energetic riffing and unique vocals of Flemming Ronsdorf, somewhat reminiscent of Slayer and Megadeth from the same era. Their debut LP and the follow-up "Terror Squad" have gained a legendary status, becoming some of the most thrilling thrash releases of the late 80's. The band wrote killer riffs and their guitar tones on the debut album were heavily distorted much like their German thrash counterparts.

antiMusic reports: Metallica addressed the controversy over their management asking critics to removed reviews (most were positive) of previews they were given of the band's forthcoming album. In a post to their official site they say it all came down to a management error. Here is what they had to say: While we occasionally enjoy reading the various comments, rumors, speculation, reviews, gossip and all the good that the internet brings, rarely do we feel the desire/need to respond to the "blogosphere" . . . hey, everyone is entitled to have their thoughts and opinions, right? However, once we re-surfaced on Tuesday after a few weeks on tour in Europe, we were informed that someone at Q Prime (our managers) had made the error of asking a few publications to take down reviews of the rough mixes from the new record that were posted on their sites. Our response was "WHY?!!! Why take down mostly positive reviews of the new material and prevent people from getting psyched about the next record. . . that makes no sense to us!"" So after a few rounds of managerial ear spank and sentencing everyone at Q Prime to 20 push-ups each, we figured why not take matters into our own hands and just post the links here on our site. Kerrang, Metal Hammer, The Quietus. You see, we have maintained an "in the press" section here on Metallica.com for many years now, posting links to reviews of shows, album and DVD releases, and various other tidbits we've come across while surfing around. Some good, some not so good, but we put 'em all up . . . sort of the same way we treat our message boards on this site . . . welcoming all feedback.

Scotland Yard said John Blagrove, 34, and his 22-year-old girlfriend Cara Burton, both of Queensbridge Road, east London, had been charged with conspiring to supply cocaine and a form of ecstasy. The David Crowder Band is a paradox: This group is lumped in with Christian praise and worship music, yet Crowder himself is an artistic restless spirit, a trait not usually associated with this normally predictable genre. (3 stars)
