antiMusic reports: The Bangkok Five have been favorites of antiMusic since before they were even the Bangkok Five. Explosive but melodic, the band strikes the right mix and have been easily winning over fans since their debut album came out. We celebrate the release of the band's sophomore album, 'We Love What Kills Us,' by asking frontman Frost to give us the inside story on his five favorite tracks from the album. Here is Frost with today's song "Party Machine": Johnny Thunders said it best: "There's a little bit of whore in every little girl." Unfortunately for those of us looking for stability and true love in this life, there's a little bit of whore in us all. This song is about complete and total abandon to the dark side. It's an angry, evil lash. We all have demons. This song is where I let mine loose. It's also most girls' (under the age of 21) favorite song. Go figure... (FYI: We are re-mixing the sh*t outta this one, look for it in clubs, if the DJ doesn't have it, hang him.) The album hits stores next week but you can grab a taste right now, plus get the latest on the band and more

antiMusic reports: The Dillinger Escape Plan just kicked up their fued with Disturbed another notch. It all started when DEP's guitarist Ben Weinman said in an interview that he witnessed Disturbed of posing on stage by choreographing their moves. Disturbed's Dan Donegan fired back in an interview with MTV where he denied that the band poses, saying they only use some lighting cues but also said, If [DEP] sold some records, and were at the level we're at, maybe they'd see that, for bands like Kiss and Metallica, there are certain highlight points during a set that you want to focus on." The Dillinger Escape Plan responded on Monday with the following blog post on their Myspace page: "The guitar player Dom Deluise or whatever his name is with the little-peen complex from that band Disturbia or whatever they're called thinks that we care about them. Old news, but still funny. 'My Ferrari is better than your Honda!!! Our stages come apart and travel with us and yours don't!!! We have thirty guitar techs and you have one!' Coooool self-esteem barometer, douche bag. Wait... What's that I hear? The sound of your band still sucking? Oh, right. Gotcha there, bud."
- The crack at Disturbed was only a small part of the blog post, they also made a ton of announcements.

idolator reports: The UK's Cleveland Police have confirmed to TorrentFreak that last month they arrested six users of shuttered BitTorrent site OiNK, which broke the Internet's heart when it was shut down by British authorities last October. All six of the arrested ex-OiNKers are being accused of releasing pre-release music to the site; whether they are being targeted for having leaked major-label releases only is unclear. All sixfive men and one women, all between the ages of 19 and 33were charged with "conspiracy to defraud the music industry" and are currently out on bail.

idolator reports: Coming out an hour late, forgetting lyrics, slurring apologetic introductions that get cut off by visibly annoyed band members, sounds like Weiland is back and better than ever! When Slash wakes up in a couple of hours and grabs The New York Times before enjoying his bagel (but after putting on slippers, a bath towel, and a snake), the description of Stone Temple Pilots' New York show will undoubtedly inspire a smirk. "Scott Weiland, the lead singer of Stone Temple Pilots, had just a few words for the crowd at the PNC Bank Arts Center on Saturday night, and that was probably a good thing. Two weeks into this post-grunge band's reunion tour, he seemed bedraggled and bushed, like a scarecrow. His first comments were barely coherent, and what came next was dispiriting. 'Sometimes you make crazy choices,' he said, in a distinctly undefiant tone."
- They had more to say about it.

antiMusic reports: TMZ has this story about Fluff Daddy's latest round of stupidity: Sean "Diddy" Combs is a multi-millionaire mogul who leads a life most can only dream of. So why is he pissed off at a rinky-dink website that sells cufflinks? We're told Diddy unleashed his big time lawyers on a website called Cuff-Daddy.com, a small, family-owned cufflink seller. They fired off a letter telling them that the business' name was way too similar to his. Wait -- didn't he change his name to Diddy years ago? We hear the business gets its name from the owner of the company -- he's just a proud dad who sells cufflinks. [Will he go after Godaddy.com next? Is he that much of a narcissist that he thinks people automatically think of them when they hear the word daddy? Sure cuff sounds like fluff, but where does this end? These site should be on the look out for Diddy's lawyers as they are more inline with the Puff N' Fluff Diddy's image: pimpdaddy.com, urbandaddy.com, and bootydaddy.com. That's just the first page of search results on Google. Maybe whoever owns the rights to "Puff the Magic Dragon" should threaten to sue Shiddy for soiling the poor creature's good name?]

Why is this music news? It's the U.S. company that manufactures CDs. antiMusic reports: We always read about major labels dropping artists, but Tori Amos has always been an original and she has dropped her major label, Epic, and is now going the indie route for her next album which is expected next Spring.Tori posted the following statement, about the split and her future, to her website: This is an exciting time. There will be many ways in the present and in the future for artists to cross what has become the new unchartered Music Frontier. Ways that may seem impossible today but in a months time will seem probable. There are many ways to be involved in a structure. But what kind of structure will it be and what will be the make up of it's foundation? These are important questions, so important that I've been observing many different working templates in the music business for years now. The key word here is the word "working." In some cases these structures do not work positively for some artists. Only for those who have designed the system to specifically "work" for the corporate few. Artists need not fear structure, we just have to design and partner with expansive ideas. It is time for us as artists to stop being dependent, dependent on any system that has become undependable. Only then can we help to create a new system that propagates and secures independence for each creator.

PR reports: Following his feted 2007 solo debut Yours To Keep, Albert Hammond, Jr. and his merry men (cohorts Matt Romano, Marc Philippe Eskenazi and Josh Lattanzi) return with a new album ΏCσmo Te Llama? out July 8 on Black Seal Records. The title, rung out of casual conversation between Albert and Matt over some vino tinto, hints at the classic, summery music held within. The record was recorded over 5 weeks at Electric Lady Studios and produced by Albert along with engineer Gus Oberg and drummer Romano. "I'm really proud of the power this record has," says Albert. "I feel like my melodies and song arrangements have matured. Lyrically, I tried to have the words flow out more freely and not try to write one song but many. I would just sing and sing and then arrange the words afterwards."
- His publicist sent us a link to the song "GFC" for free download. Check it out.

Old School Metal reports: Great White frontman Jack Russell has turned down a $100,000 celebrity boxing gig, all because of some dignity thing. But as he proceeds with his well-meaning rant, we realize, well, he sorta has a point. "Those shows always use sub-prime people who were kinda famous for five minutes and I don't want to get lumped in with that," he says. "Is the money really worth your dignity?"Yes, Bret Michaels, he's talking about you. Not only does Russell liken VH1's "Rock of Love" to "a car accident that you can't stop watching," but Michaels' name comes up again when we ask the 47-year-old about Great White's hair metal stigma. "We might be labeled as hair metal, but Great White has always been just a blues, rock 'n' roll band," he explains, his voice heating up with conviction. "We were never the magazine cover darlings. It wasn't like, 'I'm Bret Michaels, I'm so good looking.' It was like, 'You know what? I'm tired of this weave stuff.'"

antiMusic reports: Could MTV be returning to music programming? We were sent a press release that says that the reality channel will be offering a "24/7 non-stop summer music celebration." Sounds good but will be the "Now! That's What I Call Music" brand of music or real music? Here is what they had to say: This summer won't be remembered for the warm weather, ice cream trucks or girls in bikinis. 2008 is an "F'N MTV Summer!" What is "F'N MTV?" A 24/7 non-stop summer music celebration for and by the music fans, combining the best music experiences from TV and the Web. Each week MTV will premiere exclusive music videos and performances from the most talked about and soon to be talked about musicians. But in the end, it is all about the fans as MTV turns over the controls to let them create their own music experiences on MTV.com and choose the best of the best to make it onto MTV for the world to see. Kicking off "F'N MTV" will be "F'N MTV Premieres
" beginning Friday, June 13th at 8pm ET/PT. The new Friday night music event, hosted by Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, will shine the spotlight on what viewers love best about music on television

Jam! reports: A star prosecution witness grew emotional Monday as she alleged at R. Kelly's child pornography trial several three-way sexual encounters with the R&B superstar and the alleged victim, some of which she said were videotaped. Lisa Van Allen, the last witness before prosecutors rested their case, also told jurors in more than three hours of graphic and dramatic testimony that Kelly last year offered her $250,000 to recover a tape of one of the trysts. Defense lawyers accused her of trying to extort the singer. The state rested its case after Van Allen's testimony. Jurors will get Tuesday off before the defence begins its presentation on Wednesday.
