Grammy Pass Heist
antiMusic reports: Good taste and relevance weren't the only thing to be stolen from the Grammys. Seems some people actually wanted to go to the event to gawk at the "stars". Idolator has the report:

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of using pilfered passes to sneak into the Grammy Awards on Sunday night.

And just in case you were worried about the threat to national security posed by this bit of theft: "Police believe the motive for the theft was a desire to see celebrities, not terrorism." - more on this story

The track is the first preview of the band's forthcoming sixth full-length, obZen, slated for North American release on March 11, 2008.

Be Your Own Pet Get Awkward in March
PR reports: XL Recordings is proud to announce the release of Be Your Own Pet's CD, Get Awkward, in stores March 17th!! Also check out Be Your Own Pet on tour with The Raveonettes.

Get Awkward is the sophomore full-length from Nashville foursome Be Your Own Pet. Making it presented new challenges for Jonas, Jemina, Nathan, and John, and yielded some surprises. The songs remain fast and loud, totally wired and tantalizingly brief. Applying the dubious word "mature" is open for heated debate – string arrangements and soppy ballads are blessedly absent – but the music definitely reflects a sharp increase in experience. - more on the cd plus the tour dates

Steel Pulse DVD
PR reports: Steel Pulse's Door Of No Return DVD will hit stores on March 18th. The DVD is an eye-opening, in-depth documentary examining one of Britain's most well-respected reggae bands.

Steel Pulse started by playing concerts with punk bands as part of the Rock Against Racism movement popular in the late seventies. Subsequent releases and touring took the band to USA where they were to follow up their Grammy win of 1986 with a further nomination for a Grammy for the album "African Holocaust" in 2004.

"Door of No Return", while being a track from the successful "African Holocaust" album, is also the title of an in-depth documentary about the hugely successful British Reggae band. This film includes concert performances alongside interviews which provide insight into the band that many consider to be the greatest Reggae band in the world. - more on this dvd

.... Good Charlotte Live - Blissful and Buoyant In Brussels
You can't sit down to eat anywhere in Europe and be out in 45-minutes, so we wound up at McDonalds. As I was ordering my wife's Royale with Cheese, it occurred to me that Good Charlotte and McDonalds had something in common, I would never consume either of them back home. - Read the full Good Charlotte Live - Blissful and Buoyant In Brussels review

.... Clipd Beaks - Hoarse Lords
Music for the unaffected art student, Clipd Beaks sounds like a heroin addict splitting time between gutters and the local Viper Room. So basically it sounds like Porno for Pyros without a major label's backing. (2 stars) - Read the full Clipd Beaks - Hoarse Lords review

.... Dark The Suns - In Darkness Comes Beauty
What we have here is an attempt at gothic metal that ends in a total desecration of what the genre should represent as it has no variation, diversity, or intelligence in sight- it's just one heap of ridiculous feces. - Read the full Dark The Suns - In Darkness Comes Beauty review
