PR reports: MySpace Music is proud to announce that Bun B will be performing a free show for his MySpace friends at Torch in Dallas, TX on August 1. Celebrating his recently released album "II Trill," Bun B will be returning to his home state of Texas to showcase his newly-christened material. Attendance is free for 21+ adults for the performance on a first come, first served basis starting at 10 p.m. on August 1. Emerging from Port Arthur, Texas, as one-half of UGK (Underground Kingz) alongside the late Pimp C, Bun B has also made a name for himself as a hugely-successful solo artist in the hip-hop game. The three years between his debut solo album "Trill" and the present time have been turbulent for him but have provided inspiration for the wordplay featured on the highly-anticipated sequel "II Trill." Since Pimp C's death in 2007, Bun B's solo career has taken on an entirely new meaning, and the new album, along with his continued popularity, are a testament to the type of impact he continues to have on Dirty South music and beyond. Featuring guest shots from the likes of Lil Wayne, Sean Kingston and others, "II Trill" is a statement that Bun B is able to carry on the spirit of UGK despite the absence of his partner in rhyme.

PR reports: Acting as support for The Dandys throughout their entire upcoming fall North American tour, The Upsidedown have found the perfect platform on which to display their new record, Human Destination, out digitally-only on August 12 (eMusic subscribers will be able to download it August 5). The album captures the group's live energy without sacrificing any of the subtleties developed in the studio, and songs like the West Coast-country tinged "Umbrella," which contrasts bassist Tristan T-bird Evans's breathy harmonies with frontman (and former member of The Bella Low) Jsun Atoms's deep, near-growling vocals. "Ernestine" finds guitarist/accordionist Matt Moore singing in his higher range over minor picked guitar chords, but both the title track and "Silver Wind" are catchy and upbeat, driven by hooks and handclaps and alternating vocals. Beginning in Minneapolis on September 9 and ending October 5 in Portland, both bands (with added help from Darker My Love, and one-off appearances from A Place To Bury Strangers, The Charlatans, and fellow Beat-The-Worlders Monstrous) will bring their shows to their American and Canadian audiences, supporting their new albums. Now fully independent, The Dandy Warhols' release their sixth full-length, …Earth To The Dandy Warhols…, on August 19.

Adrenaline reports: Naming the album Relentless might not have even been necessary for Dayton, Ohio thrash newcomers Brother Von Doom. Evil WALL-E's actions speak volumes of the sonic ammunition inside their debut album endlessly jacking blast beats, puking-up-blood screams and de-tuned six strings that alight like punctured fireworks bought at roadside stands. The touchstones are their—gracefully nodding to the Scandinavians and Californians who birthed these sounds—but this is a more local brew, born amidst endless rehearsals in crummy mid-western basements but always meant for a large stage looming high above a battlefield somewhere—IN THE FUTURE. As the great prophet Nathan Explosion once said, "Brutal". The CD hits stores on October 14, 2008 but they are currently on Thrash and Burn Tour with Darkest Hour, Parkway Drive, Misery Signals, Winds Of Plague, Stick To Your Guns, Arsis, + more!

PR reports: Seduced by Suicide made the "Gothic Dream" CD available online, and fans will choose the price they want to pay for it. Earth, the band's vocalist and multi-instrumentist comments this unusual decision: "Seduced by Suicide has fans on several places in the world, and I would like that all of them, no matter their geographical or economical situation, to have access to the complete songs. I don't like the idea to give for free something which took so much effort to be done, but I like the idea of letting the fan to choose how much he can and want to pay." To download the album just visit the band's website www.seducedbysuicide.com and click on "Discography".

Darker My Love's 2 has completely taken over my car stereo. With waves of sound both tranquil and hard rocking, 2 finds the group fine-tuning their My Bloody Valentine shoegaze vision, this time pointing their ambitions more towards Pink Floyd's mid-70's output. (4.5 stars)

Ultimately what makes The X-Files: I Want To Believe compelling is Mulder and Scully- the case they are working on is irrelevant in the larger scope of things. Watching these two people be re-born and reexamine their faith is as staggering as a resurrection.
