Trans-Siberian Orchestra Set Largest Tour Ever
PR reports: One of the biggest arena attractions in rock music, Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO), will once again take to the road for what will be its largest-ever tour, more than 80 cities in the U.S. and Canada over a ten-week period beginning November 1st.

Since its first tour in 1999, TSO has been one of the most successful acts in the concert business, consistently rating in the Top 10 for both gross revenues and audience attendance. In that time, TSO's annual tours have become a must-see tradition for rock-centric revelers, attracting a uniquely all-ages audience captivated by their cross-genre blending of metal and progressive rock, classical themes and great storytelling, with unequalled staging and pyrotechnics. TSO's 2006 Winter Tour was its most successful to date, playing to over 1,000,000 fans, generating revenues in excess of $40 million, and earning the most attendance on Billboard's Top 25 Tours chart. - more including the dates

Victory Pill Debut New Video
PR reports: Victory Pill, featuring ex-Pitchshifter and Prodigy guitarist JIM DAVIES and ex-Prodigy drummer KIERON PEPPER, have uploaded the video for the track "Worst Case Scenario" from their forthcoming Corporate Punishment debut at YouTube.

"The video was shot by DOSE PRODUCTIONS who did a few Pitchshifter videos. I have worked with them before and they were our first choice," says Davies. "The video was shot in France in a bunker complex. The concept was just meant to be quite dark and grainy like the song and the guy in the video is basically slowly flipping out after taking a pill of some kind, it's very claustrophobic. I wanted something quite moody to suit the song, although the end isn't as uplifting as the end of the song as he blows his head off. Oops!"

"'Worst Case Scenario' was one of the first tunes I wrote for this band, it's the most live sounding too," continues Davies about the album's lead single. "We used almost all live drums for this and it's very bass heavy, not an amazing amount of guitar; in fact it's quite sparse. Lyrically its very tongue in cheek; it's about going through life and becoming very cynical about everything where you used to always expect the best outcome. This song is about always expecting the worst, which is almost a way of protecting ourselves from being constantly let down. I think anyone in a band knows what I mean. You have to put your faith in people that very often let you down completely and the music business is a very unfair place. I had quite a dark period musically several years ago when all I did was plan for the worst outcome so I wasn't surprised when it came. But, I have to say the song isn't meant to be all doom and gloom; the third verse is meant to be uplifting and to have you stop dwelling on the past and get on with it, it's all good from now on. I'm not a miserable git, I promise!"- Check out the video here

We received the following announcement and are passing it on for all of those that like fugasi music. Endemol owned Initial has been commissioned by BBC Entertainment to produce a new prime time BBC One Saturday night series. Presented by Graham Norton, The Ultimate Tribute (working title) is a brand new talent show that will leave viewers amazed… and wondering if seeing is believing. In fact they have to live, breathe and actually turn themselves into the superstar of their dreams.

Imagine Madonna battling it out against Cher, or Frank Sinatra going head to head with Elton John. Each week, our tribute artists will be put through their paces as they try to capture the performing essence of an established superstar. They'll be given performance tips by a host of top professionals, from vocal coaches to choreographers, make-up artists to costume makers.

....Review: As I Lay Dying - An Ocean Between Us
In a genre that is saturated with subpar metalcore, wanna-be poser bands and generally garbage-filled tripe, As I Lay Dying unleashes easily the strongest album of their career, and in the process, lay waste to 90% of the metal scene. (5 stars) - Read the full As I Lay Dying - An Ocean Between Us review

....Review: The Last Goodnight - Poison Kiss
Poison Kiss is very friendly straight forward bubble gum pop music that's danceable and easy to listen too. It's a 12 track collection and although there's nothing truly amazing on it most of the songs hold their own. (3.5 stars) - Read the full The Last Goodnight - Poison Kiss review

....Review: Birdflesh - Mongo Musicale
Standing boldly as the kings of humorous grind, Birdflesh's cult standard as a wild and spastic trio is rightfully proven by the uncanny display of funny lyrics while focusing on their slaughtering blasts of quasi-Napalm Death dismemberment.- Read the full Birdflesh - Mongo Musicale review
