antiMusic reports: She Wants Revenge recently returned with their sophomore CD This Is Forever. to celebrate the release and to give you a little more insight into the songs we asked Adam Bravin to pick his five favorite tracks from the duo's latest and tell us a bit about each song. Here is Adam with today's song: Written in Blood - We wanted to do something that reminded us of some of the tracks from the first album. We broke out a drum machine we used on the first album and made a beat. It definitely felt like something from before, so we added the bass and guitar and it quickly became something we loved. The last thing we added was the cowbell, which seems to be everybody's favorite part. Yeah, yeah, I know, more cowbell.. Still want some more? You can preview tracks from the CD, grab tour dates, watch videos and more

antiMusic reports: Quiet Riot frontman Kevin DuBrow was found dead in his Las Vegas home on Sunday by friends, according to a report on thevegaseye.com. In 1983 DuBrow led Quiet Riot into the history books when the band's debut album, "Metal Health," became the first heavy metal album to top the Billboard Album charts. A cause of death was not known at press time. DuBrow was 52. Quiet Riot Frankie Banali posted the following message on his official site "I can't even find words to say. Please respect my privacy as I mourn the passing and honor the memory of my dearest friend Kevin DuBrow." Former Quiet Riot bassist Kelly Garni posted the following message on the Randy Rhoads web site RandyRhoads.tk: "I ask this to all of you not only for myself but for other friends and family. I ask that no one here offer any speculation or opinions, theories or other things that could be construed as negative or, and I'm sorry for this, even sympathetic, right at this immediate time. I am already within hours of this having to deal with untrue rumors and speculation and that only adds fuel to that. There is a tendency for the subject of Kevin to incite flames on every board and now is not the time for that. I will explain to everyone here the facts and the truth in the next 24 to 48 hours as I realize this will effect us all. So please, until then, be patient. All details and other pertinate info will be passed on to you here when it becomes available to me. Thank you."

Contact Music reports: Marilyn Manson is facing more legal action from his former keyboardist after a new complaint was filed, accusing the shock rocker of spending the band's earnings on items made from human remains. Madonna Wayne Gacy - real name Stephen Gregory Bier Jr. - made the revelation in new legal papers added to his existing lawsuit against the singer, in which he accuses the star of failing to pay him during his time in the band. Bier filed the original lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court in August (07), in which he claims Manson squandered his band's earnings on "sick and disturbing" Nazi memorabilia and a skeleton of a young Chinese girl, among other unusual items. Bier claims Manson, his business manager, lawyer and the band's manager "filched millions of dollars" from the band's earnings, after promising Bier "partnership proceeds" from the group in 1993. And in the new complaint filed by Bier's lawyer Keith Fink on Wednesday (21Nov07), Bier says Manson bought another skeleton of a man in a wheelchair, and African masks made of human skin - both illegal in the U.S. - according to the New York Post's gossip column PageSix.

antiMusic reports: Remember that second leg of the Van Halen reunion tour we've been predicting? Looks like it's gonna happen as more dates have surfaced for 2008 stretching from January through the end of March. The band is currently on tour across North America, selling out in most markets. This is the first tour with frontman David Lee Roth since the band was supporting their 1984 album. With the spacing of the dates it looks like there is a possibility of more on tap but nothing official has been announced yet. We also got this news in today: Van Halen has announced the release of official ringtones and ringback tones for the first time. Among the 15 official Van Halen ringers available are "Jump," "Eruption," "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love," "Runnin' With The Devil," "Jamie's Cryin'," "Unchained," "Panama," and "Hot For Teacher." Van Halen ringtones are available now by searching "Van Halen" on mobile phones from all major carriers or by sending the text message "VH" to 74466. For the next four weeks, AT&T Mobility will be offering exclusive versions of several of the Van Halen ringtones and answer tones to their subscribers.

Brooks, who recently came out of retirement to play his first gigs since the late 1990s, responded to a request from local officials to play the benefit. He says, "I'm flattered they've asked, and I'm honoured to accept. This is going to take a team effort like nothing I have ever been a part of before." Punknews.org reports: The suicidal lingerie model responsible for the deaths of Silkworm drummer Michael Dahlquist, John Glick, guitarist of the Returnables and Doug Meis, drummer of Exo and the Dials has been sentenced to eight years. [she could be out in 2009 according to the Chicago Times]According to her testimony, the killer, Jeanette Sliwinski, was attempting to commit suicide -- not murder -- when she drove at nearly 90 mph into the back of a car stopped at a red light in 2005. She also apologized to the families of those she killed, saying she did not mean to hurt anyone, although it is uncertain how she expected to hit an occupied car at nearly 90mph without injuring anyone aside from herself. A defense psychiatrist had testified that Sliwinski, who pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, suffered from a bipolar disorder with psychotic episodes, leading her to crash her car at 87 m.p.h. into stopped traffic at a Skokie stoplight.

Gigwise reports: A court has ruled that SonyBMG must pay out a massive $5 million to a smaller record label, for failing to put their logo on the classic Meat Loaf 'Bat Out Of Hell'. The decision stems back to a court agreement in 1998 which ruled that the huge record label must include the logo of Cleveland Records on all future sleeves of the Meat Loaf record. However, the court has now found that SonyBMG failed to put this order into practise until more than a year after the ruling.

antiMusic reports: European fans were once again disappointed by Steven Adler as the former Guns N' Roses drummer pulled out of a tour at the last minute. At least this time he didn't get to Europe and decide to fire the entire band a few shows into the tour. The reason given for the last minute cancellation is health/personal issues. Rumors suggest that he refused to board the plane, but we could not confirm that.Steven's GNR cover band, Adler's Appetite, were to tour Europe to mark the 20th anniversary of the GNR classic "Appetite for Destruction". Chip Z'nuff issued a statement to fans about the abrupt turn of events: "We sincerely apologize to all our friends and fans for the cancellation of this tour. Of course, Steven loves to play and meet his fans. Unfortunately, he has some personal issues that prevented him from participating. He was optimistic about doing the shows, but when it came down to it, he just couldn't. "Steven's like a brother to us, and we just want to see him healthy. We're looking forward to making up these shows next year. Please forgive us, and thank you for your patience and understanding. Peace."
