antiMusic reports: Seems Ozzy Osbourne has
a secret pop album hidden away at the bat cave. Contact Music has the story:
Rob Zombie was left amazed the first time he met his hero Ozzy Osbourne
- because the rock veteran star played him excerpts from a lost album.
Zombie first met the former Black Sabbath
singer in the mid 1990s, and he wasn't expecting Osbourne to invite him
back to his Los Angeles home - and play him an uncharacteristic pop album.
Zombie says, "You know, I'd always loved
Ozzy, loved Black Sabbath, and it was just me and Ozzy in his house and
he played me this entire album he had made with (producer/songwriter) Mark
Hudson that was very Beatles-sounding. It's never been released, but it
was fantastic."- more

antiMusic reports: Gene Simmons announced
his next attempt at writing via his website. "I'm up to my neck writing
my next book: Ladies Of The Night -- A Historical And Personal Overview
Of The Oldest Profession on our Simmons Books/Phoenix Books imprint. It
should be finished by Spring." We'll leave the whore jokes to you.
The state of confusion in the Motley camp
is up a bit at the moment with the left hand not knowing what the right
hand is doing. Nikki says Tommy is history and Vince says that's not true.
Sixx told the London Paper recently: "He's out of the band, that's just
the way it is. Tommy Lee kept f**king around and I said, 'You know what
dude, you've got to knock it off'. He said, 'I f**king quit.' I said, 'fine.
I still love you but I don't have time for this'."
Vince Neil told MTV Canada an entirely
different story: "Well, see what happens is, there's a press release saying
that Tommy was out of the band and everybody jumped on that. But when Tommy
issued his own press release saying that 'no', nobody paid attention to
him. So, he was never out of the band and actually I just talked to him
yesterday and I talked to Nikki a couple of days ago and we're going to
go into the studio in January and hopefully have a single out by March
and a tour in June."

antiMusic reports: Most people in music wouldn't
turn down Beatle Paul when he came a-calling hoping for a collaboration.
But Thom Yorke isn't like most people. Gigwise has the story:
Paul McCartney has revealed that Thom Yorke
turned him down when he asked him to collaborate on his latest album.
In an interview for T4 he said "My daughter
was putting an album together and she put us in touch. I asked Thom to
do a duet, but he said he couldn't because he only felt happy working on
his own and Radiohead's material."- more

antiMusic reports: Jimmy Page is getting fans
hopes up that the whole Led Zeppelin reunion won't just be a one-off, a
move that he said would be silly and selfish in a new magazine interview.
Page, frontman Robert Plant and John Paul
Jones will reunite for the Ahmet Ertegun education fund benefit show at
The O2 in London on December 10th. Led Zeppelin's late drummer John Bonham's
son Jason will play in his father's place. Ertegun is the late president
of Atlantic Records who signed Led Zeppelin.
Those can't make the London show have a
small glimmer of hope that more shows might be in the works. Page addressed
the issue in the new issue of Guitar World which comes out next week. "It's
a bit silly (for only one date) because there is such a massive demand.
It is a bit selfish to do just one show. If that is it we probably shouldn't
have taken the genie out of the bottle," Page told the magazine.

antiMusic reports: Did he really want to hurt
him? Got Milk? Those are some of the questions Boy George may be asking
himself as he faces justice. The androdynous former Culture Club frontman
is in hot legal water. He has been charged with the false imprisonment
of a 28-year-old man.
On April 28th Boy George, real name George
O'Dowd, reportedly invited a male escort to his home and chaining the man
to a wall. George was charged this week with the crime and released on
bail, scheduled to appear in court on November 22nd.
George reportedly went online to the gay
dating website Gaydar and invited Auden Carlsen, the 28-year-old male escort
to his apartment in Shoreditch, east London, for a midnight photo shoot
for George's fashion boutique. However, things took a strange twist when
Auden was left "handcuffed to a hook on the wall shortly after George returned
to the flat after nipping out at 5am to buy a pint of milk," according
to the Scotsman. Apparently Auden didn't like George's version of hanging
out and went to authorities.- more

Contact Music reports: British rock band OASIS
have quashed rumours they are planning on copying RADIOHEAD by allowing
fans to choose the price of their next album. It was alleged Oasis were
keen to follow in the footsteps of Radiohead after the band released their
latest LP, In Rainbows, as a digital download last month (Oct07) and allowed
customers to decide how much they wanted to pay for it.
But Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher is strongly
opposed to the idea and claims it would only ever happen "over my dead
body".
He adds of their new project, "There's
lots of cool parts. Really, we're throwing everything at it. "Hopefully
our kid's (Noel Gallagher) learned his lesson (about over-tweaking things
in the studio).- more

Contact Music reports: Fans of the Beatles
are infuriated after a John Lennon track was licensed to appear in a commercial
for a U.S. retailer.
Supporters of the group have criticised
Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono, for approving J.C. Penney's use of the song in
its forthcoming advertising campaign - as the late star would've told the
corporate world to "f**k off".
Pete Nash, chairman of the British Beatles
Fan Club, says, "Obviously you can't ask Lennon himself if you can use
his song, but if you could, I'm 100 per cent sure his answer would be to
tell J.C. Penney to f**k off.- more

antiMusic reports: Paul McCartney tells Billboard
that the Digital Beatles are just around the corner "it's all happening
soon. Most of us are all sort of ready. The whole thing is primed, ready
to go -- there's just maybe one little sticking point left, and I think
it's being cleared up as we speak, so it shouldn't be too long. It's down
to fine-tuning, but I'm pretty sure it'll be happening next year, 2008."
Punknews.org reports that My Chemical Romance
guitarist Frank Lero has had to return home from the tour to tend to a
family illness. This leaves the band short two members as drummer Bob Bryar
recently had to stand aside to allow a wrist injury to heal. Guitar tech
Matt Cortez will fill in for lero while he is gone. Cortez has some experience
on stage with the band already. He filled in for bassist Mikey Way while
he took time off to enjoy life as a newlywed.
A handful of the U.S. dates for the Foo
Fighters have come to light. They are thus:

antiMusic reports: Gene Simmons had some strong
words about downloaders when speaking with Billboard recently. We'll let
Gene speak for himself: "The record industry is in such a mess. I called
for what it was when college kids first started download music for free
-- that they were crooks. I told every record label I spoke with that they
just lit the fuse to their own bomb that was going to explode from under
them and put them on the street.
"There is nothing in me that wants to go
in there and do new music. How are you going to deliver it? How are you
going to get paid for it if people can just get it for free?
"The record industry doesn't have a f*cking
clue how to make money. It's only their fault for letting foxes get into
the henhouse and then wondering why there's no eggs or chickens. Every
little college kid, every freshly-scrubbed little kid's face should have
been sued off the face of the earth. They should have taken their houses
and cars and nipped it right there in the beginning. Those kids are putting
100,000 to a million people out of work."- he's

antiMusic reports: There is a lot of demand
for a reunited Led Zeppelin. One fan just paid £83,000 (roughly $166,000
US) for two tickets to the band's only announced gig. Of course that money
goes to charity. But on another front, it appears that the band was in
talks to headline one of the UK's biggest festivals but apparently wanted
too much to play. Gigwise has the story: Led Zeppelin have been in negotiations
to headline next year's Glastonbury Festival, it has been reported.
The rock legends have apparently been in
talks with Glastonbury head Michael Eavis about the mouth-watering prospect.
They have even give the Worthy Farm owner a price for performing at the
June event.
Despite the early talks, the NME claims
that the negotiations have broken down after the rock outfit's representatives
named too high a price, prompting Eavis to pull out.-

antiMusic reports: Britney really needs to
hire a driver. She won't be able to avoid all embarrassing headlines by
doing this but she can cut down on them significantly. Seems the poptard
has run over another stalkerazzi. Hit me baby one more time indeed. Contact
Music has the story: Britney Spears is facing more legal trouble after
running over another paparazzo's foot on Wednesday night (14Nov07) - leaving
the snapper screaming in pain.
The troubled pop star was leaving the parking
lot of the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California when she accidentally
rolled her Mercedes-Benz over a photographer's foot, causing a ruckus among
the paparazzi.
In video footage of the incident posted
on TMZ.com, Spears can be seen trying to make her way out of the car park
as a hotel valet tells the photographers to "back off the driveway". Seconds
later, a man can be heard screaming and the other snappers shout out to
Spears, saying, "Whoa! Stop! Stop!" The valet then says, "Back off the
drive gentlemen, this won't happen if you back off."-
