Graham Colton Week: Telescope
antiMusic reports: Acclaimed singer/songwriter Graham Colton returns to record stores with his brand new album "Here Right Now." To celebrate the release we asked Graham to pick his five favorite tracks from the CD and tell us a little about each. Here is Graham with today's pick.

Telescope: I really like this song because it has nice imagery. The idea of someone seeming close but actually is far away was intriguing to me. I remember writing it and not having the words for the verse written out. I told the engineer to just roll the tape and press record and the words kinda flowed out. I find I'm using that approach a lot lately in my songwriting.

Britney Runs Over Photographer
antiMusic reports: Britney really needs to hire a driver. She won't be able to avoid all embarrassing headlines by doing this but she can cut down on them significantly. Seems the poptard has run over another stalkerazzi. Hit me baby one more time indeed. Contact Music has the story: Britney Spears is facing more legal trouble after running over another paparazzo's foot on Wednesday night (14Nov07) - leaving the snapper screaming in pain.

The troubled pop star was leaving the parking lot of the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California when she accidentally rolled her Mercedes-Benz over a photographer's foot, causing a ruckus among the paparazzi.

In video footage of the incident posted on TMZ.com, Spears can be seen trying to make her way out of the car park as a hotel valet tells the photographers to "back off the driveway". Seconds later, a man can be heard screaming and the other snappers shout out to Spears, saying, "Whoa! Stop! Stop!" The valet then says, "Back off the drive gentlemen, this won't happen if you back off." - more on this story

Zeppelin Pondered Festival Appearance
antiMusic reports: There is a lot of demand for a reunited Led Zeppelin. One fan just paid £83,000 (roughly $166,000 US) for two tickets to the band's only announced gig. Of course that money goes to charity. But on another front, it appears that the band was in talks to headline one of the UK's biggest festivals but apparently wanted too much to play. Gigwise has the story: Led Zeppelin have been in negotiations to headline next year's Glastonbury Festival, it has been reported.

The rock legends have apparently been in talks with Glastonbury head Michael Eavis about the mouth-watering prospect. They have even give the Worthy Farm owner a price for performing at the June event.

Despite the early talks, the NME claims that the negotiations have broken down after the rock outfit's representatives named too high a price, prompting Eavis to pull out. - more on this story

Kid Rock Loses Lawsuit After No Show
antiMusic reports: Kid Rock had better things to do than show up for a deposition for a lawsuit he filed. The judge in the case was not amused. AP has the story: A judge is fed up with Kid Rock for failing to show up for a court-ordered deposition.

Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Shalina Kumar on Wednesday threw out a lawsuit the 36-year-old rocker filed this year against Kelly Ann Kozlowski, a Novi woman he said embarrassed and defamed him in a police report.

"What's special about him? Why does he get to violate a court's order?" Kumar asked Kid Rock's attorney... Kozlowski has sued Kid Rock claiming he roughed her up outside his Clarkston recording studio March 8. Her claims were investigated by authorities, but no charges were brought. - the no show is gonna cost him, read more here

Keys Snubs Her Own Event
Contact Music reports: R+B superstar Alicia Keys snubbed her own album launch party on Tuesday night (13Nov07) - because the New York bash was "too rough". The Fallin' hitmaker left organisers of Manhattan nightspot Pacha fuming after failing to show at the party held in honour of her latest release, As I Am.

But her manager Jeanine MCLean says Keys had good reason to snub the event, because the trendy venue was "a mess". She tells New York gossip column PageSix, "She was going to go through, have a drink and celebrate as a favour to the club. But when she got there, there was no security and the crowd was rough. She sat there waiting for them to get it together for an hour."

However, a source tells the New York Post's gossip column PageSix that Keys didn't show because "she wasn't getting paid." A representative for Pacha says, "We had an ample security team onsite and had reserved an entire area for her." - more music news

KISS Thinks Downloaders Should Be Sued Off The Face of the Earth
antiMusic reports: Gene Simmons had some strong words about downloaders when speaking with Billboard recently. We'll let Gene speak for himself: "The record industry is in such a mess. I called for what it was when college kids first started download music for free -- that they were crooks. I told every record label I spoke with that they just lit the fuse to their own bomb that was going to explode from under them and put them on the street.

"There is nothing in me that wants to go in there and do new music. How are you going to deliver it? How are you going to get paid for it if people can just get it for free?

"The record industry doesn't have a f*cking clue how to make money. It's only their fault for letting foxes get into the henhouse and then wondering why there's no eggs or chickens. Every little college kid, every freshly-scrubbed little kid's face should have been sued off the face of the earth. They should have taken their houses and cars and nipped it right there in the beginning. Those kids are putting 100,000 to a million people out of work." - he's not done

The singer also dedicated a song to her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, who is being held on remand pending charges including GBH.

During the show, the 24-year-old told the crowd: "To them people booing, wait 'til my husband gets out of incarceration. And I mean that." - more on this story
