Scum Of The Earth Week: Hate X 13
antiMusic reports: When it came time to pick a band to feature for Halloween week a perfect opportunity presented itself in the form of Scum of the Earth. For those not familiar: the band is spearheaded by former Rob Zombie guitarist Riggs and the band's new album 'Sleaze Freak' hit stores last week. So we asked Riggs to pick his five favorite tracks from the CD and tell us a little about each and he more than delivered in true Riggs fashion. Here he is with today's song "Hate X 13":

Hate X 13 (pronounced HATE TIMES THIRTEEN) - Take the average hate a person has for the world, the people in it, their jobs, bosses, wives, whoever and whatever...multiply that by thirteen times the hate and presto, you have HATE X 13...NONE MORE HATE...NONE MORE PISSED OFF! It's a f**k-the-world-and- everybody-on-it kind of song.
Now if that didn't get your attention nothing will. Learn more about the band, the new CD, listen to some tracks and more

Machine Head on Disney's Mickey Mouse Stance on Metal
antiMusic reports: Machine Head's Dave McClain has some choice words about Disney's last minute decision to ban metal bands from playing House of Blues venues located on Disney properties (eg Disney malls). He spoke a little about it to Chart Attack and gave us out favorite quote of the week! Here are some choice excerpts.

"It's unbelievable that that can actually go down today still," says Machine Head drummer Dave McClain. "It's frustrating to be singled out like that, and the music you love playing. We were all brought up on metal, and that's just lame that can actually happen in this day and age. We had heard that it was because of the lyrics on the album and they just didn't want our fans on Disney property. They're not admitting any of that stuff, they're just saying that they don't want certain types of stuff on their property. But "It was f**kin' bizarre," says McClain.

"We've played there for years and had great shows and had absolutely no problems with anything.... It's not like our fans went there and drew f**kin' dicks all over Mickey Mouse's forehead or anything, you know?" [Incidentally, the Anaheim House of Blues is not decorated with Mickey and Goofy but new age/pagan artwork.] - Read the full Chart Attack article

Ambassador Snoop to Solve UK Gang Problem
antiMusic reports: We always love rappers that try to do something positive instead of getting rich marketing the "gangsta" lifestyle to white surburban kids and Snoop wants to really do something positive for the UK by helping them solve their current gang violence problem. Of course, he single handedly stopped gangs in his home town (sarcasm off) Gigwise has the story:

US rapper Snoop Dogg has offered to help solve the escalating problem of gang violence in the United Kindom. The rapper – who is currently banned from entering the country - said that "men in white wigs" and "laws from the 1800s" are stopping him from controlling the issue.

Speaking ahead of the MTV European Music Awards in Munich the rapper said the UK was "suffering" by not allowing him to help. "I really wanted to be a voice to stop gang members 'cause they respect me enough to get into a room with me. By not permitting me they're saying they just don't want me to solve this situation. - more on this story
