Black Eyes Peas singer was busted Tuesday morning on suspicion of driving
under the influence after crashing his car in Los Angeles, police said.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's
Department, Taboo, real name Jaime Luis Gomez, was involved in a minor

Mest
Murder Self Defense |
punkbands reports: In a turn of events perhaps
even more odd than the incident itself, Mtv is reporting that Anthony Lovato,
the former frontman for Mest, is getting off and won't face murder charges.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office told
the network "We determined that the suspect and victim had dated the same
girl back-and-forth for over a year. There had been threats, and the victim
sent several threatening messages to the suspect. Apparently, there was
some mutual combat and Lovato attempted to separate himself from the victim
when the victim challenged him to a fight. The victim followed Lovato to
an isolated spot in the underground garage and tried to fight him. Lovato
defended himself, and there was insufficient evidence to show that it was
not a justifiable use of reasonable force in self-defense."[see full story

Imagine
There's No Hippies |
BBC reports: John Lennon's Imagine has been
voted the favourite pop song of the baby boomer generation in a radio poll.
The anthem narrowly beat Chris De Burgh's
Lady In Red, which took second place in the survey of 3,760 over-50s conducted
by the Smooth Radio network.
Crazy, a number one hit for US hip-hop
duo Gnarls Barkley last year, also made the list - but nearly half of the
top 50 came from the 1960s. [see full story for more]-

Iced
Earth Guitarist Iced |
Blabbermouth reports: ICED EARTH mainman Jon
Schaffer has sent the following update to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:
"I regret to inform you that Tim Mills
[guitar] will not be able to continue working with the band. As you may
know, Tim is the founder of Bare Knuckle Pickups and that is his main business.
He's had recent employee problems and has now found that his main worker,
his right-hand man as it were, is terminally ill with cancer. So, he will
not be able to do the record and tours that we had planned on. I knew it
was risky bringing someone in that had an established business, I know
exactly how hard it can be to be involved in multiple businesses, but we
both felt that we'd be able to pull it off. [see full story for more]-

Words: Oasis are repetitive Luddites |
Earvolution reports: Usually Noel or Liam
Gallagher is the bloke making headlines insulting some other band or artist.
But, Kele Okereke of Bloc Party has apparently turned the tables on Oasis.
Okereke is quoted as saying: "I think Oasis are the most over-rated and
pernicious band of all time. They had a totally negative and dangerous
impact upon the state of British music."
Not content to leave the commentary there,
Okereke also reportedly mocked the Oasis brothers' oft attempts to link
themselves to the Beatles' legacy. He's further quoted as sniping: "They
claim to be inspired by the Beatles but, and this so saddens me, they have
failed to grasp that the Beatles were about constant change and evolution.
Oasis are repetitive Luddites."[see full story for more]-
