Gay
Elton Ban |
hecklerspray.com reports: Like most people
with a Napoleon complex, hecklerspray has often fantasised about violently
colonising our own country; one of the laws of this new country would be
to ban Elton John, and we're not alone - Tobago wants Elton John banned,
too.
However, while we'd ban Elton John because
he's a bit of a twit, Tobago wants to ban Elton John because he's gay.
Although Elton John is due to play a festival in Tobago in April, angry
islanders are calling for his performance to be banned, lest Elton John's
inherent gayness suddenly turn all the men in Tobago into a roaming herd
of predatory gay men. Perhaps nobody in Tobago has ever seen a picture
of Elton John, because - in our experience - rather than recruiting straight
men to the gays, the sight of an angry, tubby, bespectacled, gap-toothed
60-year-old in a ginger wig is usually enough to turn most gay men straight.

to get attention and preferential treatment. He says in the clip mentioning
musician Novel and producer Raphael Saadiq, who both worked on her new

Kid
Rock Off The Hook |
TMZ reports: Kid Rock won't be charged by
prosecutors, after they couldn't confirm an assault claim from a woman
who visited his Detroit house last week.
In a statement, the Oakland County prosecutor's
office says it has declined to press charges against Rock (real name: Robert
Ritchie). Citing "conflicting witness accounts" and lacking a way to corroborate
the charges through "photographs or medical reports," County Prosecutor
David Gorcyca says there's "insufficient evidence to support a charge."

we'll finally get to see a Fred Durst movie that doesn't involve him making
his "oh" face on a cell phone:
The Tribeca parade continues today with
the official selections in the Discovery, Showcase and Family Festival
sections. And while there are plenty of notable films among the 63 titles
sent along this afternoon, few stoke the curiosity as vigorously as a particular
world premiere we first told you about Monday: The Education of Charlie
Banks, directed by Fred Durst, written by Peter Elkoff. (U.S.A) - World

Down With Strep Throat |
KNAC reports: Down has issued the following
announcement: "To our Canadian fans worldwide... When something like Strep
Throat is caught by just one member of your band or crew, it is inevitable
that the majority of everyone else (band/crew) will catch the same illness
due to the tight living quarters. Well, to say the least, it got Phillip
(Anselmo, vocalist) the worst. He has never lost his voice before in any
touring situation. He has now, and the recovery must run its course. Down,
as a whole, apologize sincerely to BLACK SABBATH and all of their people,
and to MEGADETH, but especially to all the fans that wanted to see us.[see
