A Love Ends Suicide Now Fighting Love
Lambgoat reports: Metal Blade Records/High Impact Records recording artist A Love Ends Suicide has officially changed their name to Lets Fighting. The band has issued the following update:

"We have been MIA for quite a while now but as you can see we have a lot of new changes going on. We have officially changed our band name to 'Let's Fighting.' (For personal reasons) We got the name from a South Park episode. They had a song on one episode that went 'Let's Fighting Love,' but since we already had the word 'Love' in our last name, we just kept the first 2 words. It makes no sense but we like it.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

No Return From Snockville
PR reports: Since the 2007 release of his genre-blending debut album "No Return From Snockville," New Hampshire-based musician Billy Sharff has been called "an artist well worth watching" (Boston's The Noise) with a "great rock voice" (Taxi A&R Company). "Snockville" combines folk, blues, rock, and a hint of jazz to deliver original songs that are "well-written and full of keen insights" (Boston's The Noise).

Billy Sharff is currently touring with the Boston-based gypsy-rock band Pariah Beat, and will be playing throughout New England and New York over the summer and fall of 2007.

"No Return From Snockville" is available directly from Sharff's website, www.bsharff.com, through iTunes, CD Baby, and at any Borders Bookstore.- Click Here for the Full Story

Hendrix Appeal
Experience Hendrix PR reports: Since 1995, James “Al” Hendrix, the sole heir of Jimi Hendrix, and his close family members and their companies have been committed to preserving Jimi Hendrix’s musical, cultural and artistic legacy. Experience Hendrix has registered and continuously used trademarks of Jimi Hendrix’s name, his image, his signature and other logos in careful marketing of Jimi’s music, recordings, artistic properties and related merchandise throughout the world.

In 2005, a federal district court dismissed Experience Hendrix’s claim that the James Marshall Hendrix Foundation’s use of certain Jimi Hendrix personality rights had violated the Washington Personality Rights Act. The Court reasoned that a 1903 New York Civil Rights law, which does not recognize a celebrity’s posthumous personality rights, and not the Washington Act, should apply to the case. Yesterday, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed that decision. While Experience Hendrix will request a rehearing, the Court’s decision today will not affect Experience Hendrix’s exclusive ownership of Jimi’s music and recordings and will not affect the trademarks that Experience Hendrix has used and will continue to use in maintaining and promoting Jimi’s legacy. - Click Here for the Full Story

PR reports: Victory Records, Inc announces the use of Album Trailers as a new promotional medium.

Album Trailers are a new way to launch an album. Is it a website? Is it a commercial? Does it make me curious? Can it be shared? Is it viral? Is it interactive? Is it fun? Is it engaging? Does it have information? Is there something in it for ‘me’? Am I entertained by it? The answer to all of these is questions is a resounding- yes.

Our entire world has become more communal and interactive. We are all increasingly intertwined by various forms of technology. Album Trailers marries this reality into an online, interactive platform for promoting new artists and music. Victory Records’ debut Album Trailer is for Silverstein’s forthcoming album, ‘Arrivals & Departures’, in stores July 3.
