PR reports: On July 24th, rockers Puddle of
Mudd will release Famous — the follow up to their gold-certified release,
Life on Display.
“It’s about passion and writing music that
connects with other people and somehow heals them. I really want to try
to crawl under peoples’ skin and at the same time make some kick-ass rock
‘n roll music,” says Puddle Of Mudd frontman Wesley Scantlin about his
band’s imminent third album, Famous.
After demo-ing songs “in some crazy little
apartment with an isolation booth in the middle of Hollywood”, Famous was
recorded in Los Angeles and Colorado with former Black Flag drummer Bill
Stevenson (Rise Against, MXPX etc.) producing.

PR reports: Messengers, the second record
to drop from the minds and hands of Lancaster, PA quintet August Burns
Red is more than just a collection of 11 raging metal songs that ravage
the ears of their listeners with technical skill and immense passion. The
record is, in fact, not only a musical collaboration, but also a lyrical
one, where every member of the band contributed to the lyrical content
with their own thoughts, ideas and messages. Hence the record’s intriguing
title.

announce that MESSENGERS, the band’s JUNE 19th Solid State Records release
will be exclusively streamed on the website, starting at 12:00am CST on
June 18th and wrapping up on June 21st at 11:59pm CST. The Lancaster, Pennsylvania
based hardcore act will be bringing their crushing sound across the states
all summer long. AUGUST BURNS RED have toured along the likes of As I Lay
Dying, Terror, Chiodos, Between the Buried and Me, Bleeding Through, Haste

PR reports: The video for "Bartender," featuring
Akon features the boys doing their thing at a club with a very sexy bartender
as the focal point. The song tells the tale of a broken-hearted dude and
his crush on a cutie-pie mixologist. "Sometimes, the bartenders are the
hottest girls in the club," T-Pain explains. "Guys are always falling in
love with those girls, even if it goes no further than that night. ‘Bartender'
is an anthem for those guys."

PR reports: Svoy and Rendezvou (label) want
everyone to hear Svoy’s album Eclectric, and so have offered the entire
album as a free download for a limited time. No strings, no fine print,
no catch, just download the entire album for free at the full story link.
New York-based Svoy was born in a small
port city in the Russian Far East and has let music lead him on an incredible
journey, from the late night piano musings of his next door neighbor, to
the Russian Academy of Music to study with the legendary and beloved Russian
bebop pianist Igor Bril. Music had a larger plan for Svoy, however, and
he was offered a scholarship to Boston’s Berklee College of Music and it
was there that Svoy found his true musical calling. SVOY jokes, “I entered
Berklee as a Jazz pianist and left as a Pop Electronica artist. I think
a lot of my professors won’t forgive me for that.”
It was also at Berklee that SVOY began
recording original compositions. Fascinated with many different styles
of music, including electronica, R&B and rock, and influenced by artists
ranging from Boards of Canada and Prefuse 73 to Me’Shell NdegeOcello and
Maxwell, he embraced each influence when writing and producing his new
songs.- Click

PR reports: 3 Mile Scream have posted their
Chad Archibald (Arise and Ruin) directed video for the track "Our Blackened
Sun" online at the full story link. "Shooting the video was such an amazing
experience to take part in. The director was very easy going and was open
to all of our ideas and input," says 3 Mile frontman Matt McGachy. "The
only part which was a bit unpleasant was the after effects of shooting
for ten hours straight at full tilt. All of our bodies hated us, and they
definitely were not shy about letting us know about it."
"The shoot made us realize just how much
work goes into the creating a video. It tested our limits physically having
to go full tilt, take after take to get it all on film, says 3 Mile Scream
bassist Mike Marino. “It was a great experience, the video looks sick and
we look forward sharing it with everyone."
The track is taken from the group’s recently
released Corporate Punishment debut album, A Prelude To Our Demise.-

PR reports: With You’ll Never Be A Stranger
At My Door (July 24 release), Tracy Nelson, after almost four decades,
revisits the musical territory she first explored on Mother Earth Presents
Tracy Nelson Country. That experience ensconced her, literally, in the
Tennessee countryside and, figuratively, as the doyenne of the genre that,
years later, would come to be known as Americana.
She says that she recorded Tracy Nelson
Country as “a whim” but that flight of fancy would go on to be an underground
sensation. In the succeeding years, as a solo artist, including her initial
album for Memphis International Live From Cell Block D, her repertoire
has been primarily blues-based. This time out, she says “I wanted to do
something else, to do an album where the songs are the focus, pretty songs
I could just sing.”[see full story for more]- Click
