White Stripes Announce Free Show

(Reuters) Tower Records may be dead, but its flagship outlet in Los Angeles still has some relevance to the music industry. Rock duo the White Stripes will perform a free show for about 200 fans next Wednesday at an "Icky Thump Records" store specially built on the landmark Sunset Strip site, a spokeswoman said on Wednesday. Tickets for the 7 p.m. PDT show will be made available to the first 200 people who buy the album at the store after midnight on Monday.
