Gigwise reports: Just weeks after he was filmed
on stage performing an inappropriate act with an underage girl, Akon has
landed himself in trouble once again.
The American rapper has been caught on
camera throwing a fan into the crowd at the K Fest after the fan had allegedly
thrown an object at him.
In the video, after the throwing incident,
Akon orders the event's security to fetch the fan out of the audience and
bring him to the stage. The rapper then manhandles the fan before throwing
him into the audience.[see full story for more]- Click

Contact Music reports: Country singer CARRIE
UNDERWOOD's page on online networking website MySpace.com has been hacked
by a mobile phone ringtone promotion.
Over the last 24 hours, fans of the American
star have been receiving emails claiming to be from Underwood herself,
urging them to check out "these amazing free ringtones", reports website
TMZ.com.
The spam emails read: "Hey, this is Carrie
Underwood. OK here's the deal, I need every single MySpace friend to stop
what he/she's doing and go here right now and put your cell # in. You'll
receive every ringtone from every myspace artist (including my favourites)..."
[wow when did she start using British spelling? Think the fans could figure
out it was bogus from that alone see full story for more] -

Contact Music reports: A federal appeals court
on Monday overturned the FCC's revised standards for determining indecency,
when it ruled in favor of News Corp's Fox television network, which had
been chastised by the commission for airing four-letter vulgarities during
telecasts of the 2002 and 2003 Billboard Music Awards.
Besides the incidents on Fox, the court
also suggested that an expletive uttered by Bono during the NBC telecast
of the 2002 Golden Globe Awards did not warrant FCC censure.
The decision was immediately denounced
by FCC Chairman Kevin Martin [see the full story for what that windbag
had to say. Hint: he'd have to fine himself if he said it on TV] [see full

BBC reports: Hundreds of copies Sir Paul McCartney's
latest album will not be eligible for the UK charts, the BBC has learned.
The music legend has just released his 21st solo album, Memory Almost Full,
on a label run by coffee chain Starbucks.
But Starbucks' 533 UK stores are not registered
with the Official Chart Company - which means CDs bought there will not
count towards the top 40.
...Memory Almost Full is still likely to
make the Top 40 this weekend, however, as it is also being sold through
traditional high-street retailers and download services like iTunes. ...
It is currently number seven in Amazon's top-sellers list - but it is being
outsold by The Beatles' Sergeant Pepper album.[see full story for more]-

Blabbermouth reports: Contrary to unsubstantiated
reports that MOTÖRHEAD has cancelled the remainder of its European
tour, the band will perform at this weekend's Sweden Rock Festival as scheduled,
drummer Mikkey Dee has confirmed to the Sweden Rock organizers.
MOTÖRHEAD was forced to call off its
June 3, 2007 concert Rockhal in Luxembourg after frontman Lemmy Kilmister
reportedly fell ill shortly after soundcheck and had to be taken to a local
hospital for evaluation. It was subsequently determined that Lemmy was
suffering from an upper respiratory infection and two additional shows
in France (June 5 in Limoges and June 6 in Caen) were also cancelled in
order to allow Lemmy enough time to rest. However, according to Dee, Lemmy
WILL be well enough to perform at Sweden Rock[see full story for more]-

Blabbermouth reports: The Washington Times
reports that A&E has said yes to a third season of "Gene Simmons Family
Jewels", upping its order to 24 half-hour episodes from last season's 20
installments.
According to Variety, the decision was
an easy one: "Jewels" is A&E's second-highest-rated series ever in
the 18-to-49 and 25-to-54 adult demographics, behind only "Dog the Bounty
Hunter". "Jewels" did even better in its second season than in its first,
leaping by 15 percent in total viewers to a 1.5 million average and climbing
by 11 percent in adults 18 to 49 and by 8 percent in adults 25 to 54. [the
scriptwriters of the show must be overjoyed! see full story for more]-

Blabbermouth reports: In response to the recent
rumors surrounding WHITE LION and the POISON/RATT summer tour, WHITE LION
frontman Mike Tramp has issued the following statement:
"On behalf of myself and WHITE LION, I
would like to clear up the many misperceptions and rumors that have been
created by Live Nation's decision to withdraw WHITE LION as the opening
act of the summer 2007 POISON tour. While we are limited in what we can
say about the issue because of pending litigation, we can inform everyone
that Live Nation's decision was not based on any controversy over whether
Mike Tramp has the legal right to perform as WHITE LION. Our information
is that Live Nation's decision was based upon a threatened lawsuit by former
WHITE LION guitarist Vito Bratta. Even though Live Nation believed Vito's
lawsuit to be frivolous and had confirmed that Mike Tramp has the legal
right to perform as WHITE LION, they did not want to spend 'one dollar'
on litigation. Faced with the cancellation of a tour that was to begin
within weeks, our attorneys went the extra mile to work out a deal with
Vito Bratta to drop his threatened lawsuit but even with the threat of
litigation eliminated, Live Nation continued on their ill-informed course
of dropping WHITE LION from the POISON tour.[see full story for more. He
could have avoided this by doing what he has done in the past and tour
as Mike Tramp's White Lion. Esp since most of his set was filled with his
monotonous solo material.]- Click

of recycled paper. In addition, the record came out without a booklet to
further save paper, with the lyrics, credits and other inside material
available to buyers of the CD at SonyMusic.com. [see full story for more]-
