PR reports: Long sought after as a collectors’
import item, Napalm Death’s 28-track live album, Punishment In Capitals,
is finally being released for the first time in the United States by Armoury
Records, (distributed stateside by Eagle Rock Entertainment) on June 12
Epitomizing the essence of what came to
be known as “grindcore,” Napalm Death was born in Birmingham, England in
1981. Running out of original members by the time its second album came
out, the band at first consisted of a revolving door of thrash and hardcore
luminaries, many who have gone on to form other such bands as Carcass,
Godflesh, Cathedral and others. The current lineup, though, has been solvent
since ’91, sans Pintado, who passed away in 1996.[see full story for more]-

PR reports: Blood of the Medusa, the full-length
debut from Syracuse NY's Unholy, hits the streets today! Featuring members
of seminal bands The Path of Resistance, Godbelow, Santa Sangre and Another
Victim, Unholy plays hardcore influenced metal with no regard for the latest
trends and fashions. There is no singing, no blastbeats, and no nonsensical
lyrics. This is modern metal with plenty of acerbic vocals, meaty guitar
riffs, double-bass and memorable guitar solos; the soundtrack to your summer
apocalypse.
Dates are underway on the Lambgoat First
Post (No Care Ever) Tour. Featuring Year Of Desolation (Prosthetic Records),
The Destro (Ironclad Recordings), Iscariot (567 Records), Apiary (Ironclad
Recordings), and Unholy (Lambgoat Records). The trek is winding its way
across the U.S. and back ending in New England in early-July. Please support
Lambgoat and these bands by going to a show (take your grandmother and
butcher as well).

Singles chart with “I Could Fall In Love With You.”

PR reports: Born by the pale blue glow of
“Hullabaloo,” lullabied by the River Rouge Stamping Plant and honed to
a shiv point by midnight B-movies, Detroit’s Gore Gore Girls’come-hither
sneer draws a sonic line (in thick, black eyeliner, babies) from the Girl
Group ground zero of the Brill Building to the legendary punk Mecca of
the Grande Ballroom. Get the Gore’s innocent and insolent sound finds both
the gum-snapping punk in the Ronettes and the sweet and dirty romance in
the Stooges. It is brash, cute and killer. Be forewarned, though, anyone
who writes the Gore Gore Girls off as only big hair, go-go boots and reform
school allure misses the meat of the matter; slowwitted oglers are liable
to get rudely muscled aside when the Girls hit the stage with their fully
loaded Gretsch guitars, sweet harmonies and three-on-the-tree energy. Get
The Gore is in fine record stores everywhere June 26th, and the band announces
Detroit and Chicago record release parties, with US tour dates to follow.[see

PR reports: UNKLE return with their third
album, WAR STORIES, a collection of desert songs due out in North America
July 24 on James Lavelle's new Surrender All label, marketed and sold by
Red Ink, a division of RED Distribution. Co-produced by UNKLE and Queens
Of The Stone Age producer Chris Goss, War Stories marries UNKLE's trademark
sound with traditional rock influences to stunning effect.
Like its critically acclaimed predecessors
Psyence Fiction and Never, Never, Land, there are a host of guest vocalists
that appear on this album including Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age),
The Duke Spirit, 3D (Massive Attack), Autolux, Gavin Clark (Clayhill) and
long time cohort Richard File. James Lavelle makes his vocal debut on this
album, singing on "Hold My Hand" as well as dueting with Richard File on
"Morning Rage." Rock icon Ian Astbury of The Cult lends his world-weary
drawl to "Burn My Shadow," the first single to be taken from War Stories.
Built on the pulsating, insistent beats for which UNKLE are known, it ebbs
and flows between foreboding and abrasiveness.

PR reports: As it turns out, The Loose Salute
is not an amazing Mojave3 side-project, but just an amazing project in
itself. According to a statement by The Loose Salute founder and Mojave3
drummer Ian McCutcheon, “There are no plans what-so-ever to record another
Mojave3 record.” McCutcheon went on to assert that his main concern and
only musical concern presently is The Loose Salute.
The Loose Salute is essentially a pop group,
with both folk and country overtones that draws songwriting influences
from the likes of The Byrds, The Beach Boys, The Mamas and The Papas, The
Eagles and Leonard Cohen.
Chicago’s Graveface Records – home to releases
by Black Moth Super Rainbow, The Octopus Project and The Appleseed Cast
– will release The Loose Salute’s debut album on June 12th, 2007. Tuned
To Love was recorded with engineer Gareth Parton (The Beta Band, The Go
Team, The Pipettes, Mojave3) and McCutcheon’s school-yard buddy, producer
Pritpal Soor. - Click

PR reports: In recent history the "Mixtape"
has proved to be the number one way in producing "buzz" and street credibility
for hip hop artists signed and unsigned alike. There is no question that
it has done just that for, infamous G-Units own, Nyce Da Future. With two
mixtapes already circulating, and an intense positive feedback from listeners,
it's no surprise that this soon to be hip-hop superstar is releasing a
third.
The new Mixtape, due to be released for
distribution on July 3rd, is titled "United We Stand/Divided We Fall" NBK
(Natural Born Killers) volume3, and features artists such as Hot Rod, Mazaradi
Fox, Mobb Deep, Affion Crockett (Wildin' Out), Shortdawg, and Natural Born
Killers (NBK). Production on the Mixtape was done by Trackbangas, Shake
Em Down, M.Rell, Trademark, NBB and many more.[see full story for more]-
