(CMJ) Tired of the newly reformed Smashing Pumpkins already? Billy Corgan and company beg to differ, as the band has confirmed a sweeping North American tour to support the July 10 release of Zeitgeist (Martha's Music/Reprise). Taking to the road September 8 in Montreal, the Smashing Pumpkins will embark on coast-to-coast trek, with stops in Las Vegas, Boston, Philadelphia and Atlanta confirmed thus far. Currently underway with their first of two residency sets in Ashville, North Carolina, the seminal '90s radio dominators will head to San Francisco for an 11-night run at the Fillmore before venturing to Europe for 10 headlining festival slots.
