(Gigwise) The lyricist who wrote the words for the timeless Unchained Melody has died at the ripe old age of 99. Hy Zaret was just one month off his 100th birthday when he died at his Connecticut home. The song was originally written alongside composer Alex North and appeared in the movie Unchained back in 1955.
