Gay? |
punkbands reports: Love God's Way, "a Faith
based Ministry with the goal of spreading God's Love through teaching and
healing," has published a list of "gay bands" and "safe bands." Here's
the intro the group put up as an introduction to their "Gay Band" list.
"One of the most dangerous ways homosexuality
invades family life is through popular music. Parents should keep careful
watch over their children's listening habits, especially in this Internet
Age of MP3 piracy."
GAY BANDS: [a choice selection, see the
full story for the full list] Metallica, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie,
Jay-Z, Motorhead, Eminem, Nirvana, The Doors, Eagles of Death Metal, DMX,
Audioslave, Red Hot Chili Peppers. [see full story for more and the incredibly
short list of safe bands. the inclusion of Metallica kind of makes you
rethink their "metal up your ass" tagline... could it have been a secret
code? not likely but it's fun watching people read whatever they want to
into things.]- Click

Fed Vs Burger Flippers |
pr-inside reports: Members of the National
Restaurant Association in the US are furious with KEVIN FEDERLINE for appearing
in a commercial demeaning fast food workers.
BRITNEY SPEARS' estranged husband recently
taped an ad for Nationwide Insurance, which shows him daydreaming about
being a rap star, but really working in a fast food restaurant.
Representatives from the organisation say
the ad, which is set to debut during the US Superbowl broadcast next month
(FEB07), is "demeaning and unpleasant" to the nation's restaurant workers.

Lose Singer |
KNAC reports: Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian
has posted the following message in the CDC Fan Club section of the band's
website: "Finally, we're going back to work. We're going to Chicago to
work our asses off and write a record. It's time. We're ready. One problem...
no singer.
We were offered a direct support slot on
a major tour this spring and (singer) Joey (Belladonna) decided he did
not want to move forward. The reunion is over. We tried to make it work
but I guess that's the problem, you can't 'make' something work. [see full

advertising is very disappointing," said RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS star Flea.
