Pizza Punks
PR reports: Autumn Black founding members Ruben and Albert Platt have taken the concept of the "music community" a step further. They have purchased a pizza parlor in Paramount, CA and it is run by their own band as well as other local musicians who need to earn some extra money. The twins, who in addition to their partnership in their hardcore punk metal band, are also both college graduates with degrees in biochemistry. The pizza idea was born out of the need for up and coming musicians to have jobs that understand their sporadic availabilities.

For now you can find Albert and guitarist Jonathan Koch in the kitchen making pizzas while Ruben and drummer Chris Daigle are either waiting on you or behind the cash register. But look for them to be gone on the road soon before they come back in the summer to start work on their second album for Throwdown Records. Piggy's Rock 'N' Roll Pizza is located at 15337 Paramount Blvd. in Paramount, CA.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Buy KISS Kondoms with your KISS Visa
antiMusic reports: When you think of money, what is the first rock group that pops into your head? Of course it's KISS. The most over merchandised band in the universe has found another clever way to separate their fans from their money…. Introducing the KISS Visa Card from Chase. Unheard of by KISS standards, you get something free with the card… no annual fee (pretty standard these days) but also you get Chase Flexible Rewards so spend thousands and earn hundreds in points! No word if you get double points for purchasing pricey KISS merch like a KISS Kasket.

We could make a "priceless" joke but this isn't a MasterCard. And it isn't priceless, you get 0% APR for the first year but then it jumps as high as 23.24%.

This isn't the first time the band has licensed it's likeness for a credit card. They have a First USA card you can get at the full story link (also with no annual fee and better APRs). Is this really news? No but then again Visa is Everywhere You Want To Be. - Click Here for the Full Story

Poisoned Pen? Poison Plots Covers Album
antiMusic reports: What's the latest trend for 80s hard rock bands? You get two guesses and the first two don't count. Give up? They are doing cover albums of classic rock songs. The latest band to jump on the bandwagon is Poison and they are looking to their fans to help pick the songs to cover.

The band posted the following message on their MySpace page: "Post your suggestions in the comments section by January 10th and it just might show up on their new record coming in late Spring. How cool would it be to hear Poison perform the song you suggested LIVE when they play your town this summer?! AC/DC? Skynyrd? ZZ Top? The Stones? The Who? Let's hear it!"

If you feel inclined to make a suggestion or two you can post them at the full story link. - Click Here for the Full Story

Alabama Thunderpussy Open Fire in March
PR reports: On March 6th Relapse Records Is Set To Release "OPEN FIRE" The New, Highly anticipated Alabama Thunderpussy CD!

Armed with a new singer, Kyle Thomas...the smokin' pipes that once fronted EXHORDER and FLOODGATE; Thomas joined The 'PUSSY during the summer of 2006, right when the band was piecing together riffs and beats for their next record. With the confidence that came from the addition of Thomas, those riffs and beats quickly became ravaging hard-rock songs with a tip-of-the-hat to classic metal songs of yore. Thomas added his vocals with a skill and range not heard in prior metal bands and ATP's sixth full-length record was born, ready and aimed to showcase the band's growth and power. Taking no hostages, it's time for 'Open Fire'. Look out for the band on tour Spring 2007!- Click Here for the Full Story

Britney & K-Fed Temp Custody
DiR reports: Forget about global conflict or natural disasters, the burning question in some people's minds is who will have custody of Britney and K-Feds kids? Yes, there are those that care about such things, so we have TMZ's report on this matter for you. As always if you just have to know more, click the full story link.

TMZ has learned that Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have mutually agreed to a custody arrangement during the month of January.

Under the terms of the stipulated agreement, just filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Britney and Kevin will have joint legal custody of their two children, one-year-old Sean Preston and four-month-old Jayden James. Britney will have the lion's share of physical custody. Kevin's physical custody is extremely limited. He will be allowed to be with the children from noon to 4:00 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Spears' residence. Under the agreement, Spears can be present, but no one may interfere with Federline's right to be with the children.- Click Here for the Full Story

New Talent Unearthed?
PR reports: With the New Year comes continuous activity in the Unearth camp. Currently, Unearth just put the finishing touches on their second music video in support of their latest release. Here's what frontman Trevor Phipps has to say about their upcoming video: "We had just begun to schedule the shooting of our second video, "Sanctity of Brothers" with famed director Darren Doane, when he decided to retire to pursue other professional goals. Fortunately, he had written a pretty sick video treatment and told us we could use it if the director was new, talented and had never directed a music video before. So we took to searching the internet for some new talent and came across a guy from Prague named "Soren." "SOREN's images were dark and well thought out, so we got in touch with him. We showed him the treatment Darren had written and he agreed to go with it, but he wanted to put his own flavor and twists into the video. This guy is crazy, he had a 10 day shooting schedule spanning 3 countries; he used a helicopter and some cool animation. It will have the same high energy as our video for "Giles," but will have an in depth story line and will be our first video with special effects. The video will be more like a short film with three parts. The first and third sections will be the intro and ending, while the second chapter will be the actual song. SOREN is on to some groundbreaking s*** here and we are stoked to be part of it."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Oprah Blackmailed
antiMusic reports: It reads a bit like a convoluted plot to a mystery novel touted by her book club, but Oprah was the target of a blackmail scheme. Or was she?

An Atlanta man claimed to have damaging audio tapes and demanded a ransom not to release them to the public. Just what was on the tape and how Oprah was directly involved is not known at this time. TMZ had a bit on the story and here is part of their report:

The man, Keifer Bonvillain, is accused of illegally recording phone conversations he had with a Winfrey employee about her and her business. According to the charges, he then asked for $1.5 million from a second person, described as a Winfrey "business associate," to destroy the tapes and his notes.

The charges go on to say that Bonvillain threatened to sell the information to the tabloids or write a book about them. [you can read more at the full story link]- Click Here for the Full Story
