D**k in a Box Protest
Contact Music reports: Some conservative family groups are furious over NBC's decision to release an unbleeped version of a Saturday Night Live boy-band parody, "D**k in a Box," on YouTube and its own website. In an interview with TV Week, Daniel Weiss of Focus on the Family, said that the effect of NBC's action was to provide a bleeped version for adults while making the uncensored version available on the Internet, where it would most likely be seen by children. Melissa Caldwell, director of programs for the Parents Television Council, the organization that has instigated most of the complaints to the FCC about indecent programs, had a similar reaction. "It's an end run around parents and they are putting it in a Web environment occupied and used by children and teens," she said.[see full story for more] --- [If you're over 18, click here to check out the video on YouTube]- Click Here for the Full Story

Beatle Stalker Murder-Suicide
AP reports: A woman who pleaded no contest to trespassing at the Hawaii home of George Harrison was found dead in a blood-splattered sport utility vehicle, apparently the victim of a murder-suicide, police said.

Cristin Keleher, 34, served four months in jail after her arrest for entering Harrison's house in Maui in December 1999. Prosecutors accused her of stalking the former Beatle. After entering the home through an open sliding glass door, she cooked a frozen pizza, did her laundry and phoned her mother in New Jersey.

On Dec. 19, a hiker found the bodies of Keleher and Stanley Merchant, 48, near a highway north of Truckee.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Sir Morrissey? Don't Count On It

"Just look at who has been honoured already. Mad Irish singer Daniel O'Donnell has an MBE [Member of the Order of the British Empire] and obese Jamie Oliver has an OBE [Officer of the Order of the British Empire]." [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
