Osbourne
Has HIV |
Blabbermouth reports: According to The New
York Post, Kelly Osbourne daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne made
a stunning declaration at a London charity gig last night (Sunday, February
18) when she revealed that a member of her family has the AIDS virus.
The singer and actress, best known for
her part in "The Osbournes", the reality show about her dysfunctional musical
family, spoke at a benefit for the HIV-related charity Body & Soul.
Introducing a performance by the pop band
SCISSOR SISTERS, Kelly fought back tears as she said the cause was special
to her because a member of her family had been diagnosed with the disease.
Photographers said Osbourne sobbed before leaving the stage.[see full story

The
Devil Vs Axl |
Blabbermouth reports: Croatia's Javno recently
conducted an interview with EAGLES OF DEATH METAL leader Jesse "The Devil"
Hughes. An excerpt from the chat follows - Javno: You were on tour with
the legendary GUNS N' ROSES last year. I read that Axl Rose called you
the "PIGEONS OF SHIT METAL." What happened?
Jesse: That was one of the most bizarre
nights in my life. We played in an arena that seats 20,000 people and there
were barely 5,000. First some strippers climbed on stage and the audience
started chasing them off the stage. That was the first time I saw anybody
chasing away strippers from the stage. When it was our turn, they also
started driving us off the stage, screaming that we suck, but after a few
songs, they evidently liked us. We played what we had planned and left
satisfied. Then Axl [Rose] came on who did not actually see us play because
he was an hour late for the concert. Then he began playing and after two
songs he completely lost control. In the middle of the concert he fired
several technicians, his personal assistant, with whom he has been friends
for 25 years, and then he said to the audience "How did you like the 'PIGEONS
OF SHIT METAL?'" At that moment his bass player just threw the bass guitar
on the floor and left the stage. Axl picked up the bass guitar and threw
it at him. It was crazy. I think you can see that on YouTube.[see full
story to find out what he told Axl when he asked if they would rejoin the

Cornell
on Audioslave Split |
TuneLab reports: Chris Cornell told MTV that
his decision to leave Audioslave was rooted in his songwriting process.
"It was clear to all of us we needed some time apart, and what that produces
is anybody's guess. In my case, it produced a very prolific writing period,
and getting back into writing songs on my own," he said.
"Audioslave was a very fresh collaboration
because it was very much like a young band, where you all write together
in a room. But my experience, in terms of songwriting and record-creating,
is not like a 19-year-old guy in a Rock band. For me to be satisfied, I
think I need to be able to be on my own, in the long run."[he's not done,

Yorke
Responds To Gallagher |
Earvolution reports: By now most people realize
what a blowhard, a**hole Noel Gallagher is and simply ignore his seemingly
weekly rants about either how great he is or how bad someone else is. One
of his latest targets has been Radiohead's Thom Yorke.
Gallagher felt the need to criticize Yorke's
stage show that sometimes incorporates political messages. He's also quoted
as a saying "I never went to f****** university. I don't know what a paint
brush is, I never went to art school."
On Radiohead's "Dead Air Space" blog, Yorke
responds simply and elegantly: "i did. it taught me to respect other artists."[see

Op Ivy Reunion Not Likely |
punkbands reports: According to a MySpace
post, former Operation Ivy vocalist Jesse Michaels talked about the possibility

to "logistical problems" but one never knows. Michaels also said about
Op Ivy "So will it happen? The most honest answer is probably not. But
life and the universe sometimes have their own plans."
