GNR Reunion Talks?
Gigwise reports: Hopes the classic Guns ‘N Roses line-up will take to the stage again have been raised by original drummer Stevie Adler.

Adler has revealed he recently made up his differences with singer Axl Rose – currently the only original member still in the band – and says Slash, Izzy Stradlin and Duff McKagan have also been in talks to get back together.

"…I've been talking with Slash. I've been talking with Izzy. He wants a reunion." [We hear Matt's all for it too! Of course, Steven does say that Axl giggled when he mentioned it to him. Maybe it was at the idea of Adler being involved or Axl doing it at all. See full story for on Steven's conversation with Axl] - Click Here for the Full Story

Bald Britney Auction
TMZ reports: [Britney's public breakdown has progressed rapidly over the weekend. First she reportedly did a one night stand in rehab and then she decided to sport the Mr Clean look (Maybe she watched too many episodes of "Deal or No Deal?") Here is the latest in saga as of press time but you can read more on the earlier adventures later in today's Day in Rock. If you care about such things. On the bright side, now Britney can go on SNL, sing Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U" and rip up a photo of K-Fed]Britney's $20 haircut may have been on the house, but the salon where the fallen pop princess chopped off her locks is cleaning up big time.

The owners say they saved every strand of Brit's hair and plan to peddle it on eBay. "We will probably auction it off for charity," co-owner JT Tognozzi tells E! Online. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Music Biz Is Dead
KNAC reports: Legendary music producer Bob Ezrin says the much talked about imminent demise of the record business is already here. "People are not going to the record store and are not paying for downloads," says the man who discovered Alice Cooper, produced Pink Floyd's The Wall, as well as records for David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, KISS, and countless other bands.

He said that people in the music business can’t simply find new ways to do old things. "The old things are gone. In the next couple of weeks, maybe months, there will be a bloodbath at the major record companies. We’re not at the tipping point, we’re on the other side."

He said the goal of having a hit record is a bad goal. "Maybe one person in this room will have a hit record. The days of hit records are over," he said. "It’s about being something real. . . people need to change their goals in order to survive as entertainers." [the story continues at the full story link, but Bob doesn't mention if that his work on "Psycho Circus" helped this downfall] - Click Here for the Full Story

Oasis Vs Sting
Gigwise reports: Noel Gallagher has claimed Oasis are the first band ever to get a Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music whilst “still relevant”.

Oasis picked up the industry gong on Wednesday and Gallagher was delighted to name and shame star such as Sting - currently taking part in a reunion of The Police - in expressing his delight.

He says, "We are the only ones around to have picked it up who are still relevant. The likes of Sting aren't relevant any more. I didn't want to come down here when I was dying." [who told them they were ever relevant? Oh, as a poor man's Beatles they are relevant. see full story for more irrelevant crap from Noel]- Click Here for the Full Story

Spector Trial To Be TV Spectacle
BBC reports: Full TV coverage of the US murder trial of music producer Phil Spector will be allowed, a Superior Court judge says. Judge Larry Paul Fidler claimed it was time to overcome a "fear of cameras" in Los Angeles courts, prevalent since OJ Simpson's murder acquittal in 1995.

Celebretardity For Vh1 Classic?
idolator.com reports: Thanks to Jossip for delivering VH1 general manager Tom Calderone's memo on the future of VH1 Classic, which, despite having nearly all of its staff cut during this week's layoffs, will soldier on. While there's no word on the future of Eddie Trunk in the memo, we did pick out this highlight: Michele Dix has been tapped to "develop the programming for the channel that salutes the music icons of the 60s, 70s, 80s and early 90s." We did a little digging and found out that, during her tenure at MTV Networks, Dix has had a hand in developing "icon-saluting" shows like Meet The Barkers and Doggy Fizzle Televizzle; expect I Got Married By MC Hammer: The Show to be announced any day now. [see full story for the full memo- maybe Dix will turn it into 24/7 Celebretardity shows?]- Click Here for the Full Story
