(Contact Music) Music mogul-turned-reality TV star SIMON COWELL is to turn hit show AMERICAN IDOL into a new movie. The British svengali is the brains behind a new film, Star Struck, which follows the fortunes of wannabes on a talent show.He explains, "The story is told through the eyes of 10 contestants. We want it to be the musical version of Rocky - an underdog story, a feel-good film." Like Idol, Star Struck will be cast via nationally held auditions, and the film will open with Cowell judging potential stars.
