Puddle of Mudd Arrest
VH1 reports: Fans at a Puddle of Mudd show in Toledo, Ohio, got a lot less than they bargained for Sunday night when frontman Wes Scantlin cut the band's set short, announced he was too wasted to play and eventually found himself in police custody facing a disorderly conduct charge.

Those in attendance said that a scant four songs into the band's performance at Headliners club Scantlin's bandmates walked off the stage, leaving a stumbling, hostile Scantlin alone. According to concertgoers, Scantlin was, by his own admission to the crowd, "too f---ed up" to perform. Still, he remained onstage for half an hour after the band's departure, shouting insults and profanity at the audience and singing songs that he seemed to make up as he went along.

After incurring the wrath of the crowd, which hurled flotsam and profanity toward the stage, Scantlin headed back to his dressing room, where he was arrested by Toledo police for disorderly conduct-intoxication, according to The Blade. Charges of criminal mischief and misconduct involving a public transportation system were reportedly added when Scantlin spit in the Toledo police cruiser en route to his booking.- Click Here for the Full Story

Gene Simmons A**hole
Billboard reports: Kiss bassist/singer Gene Simmons will inaugurate his own label April 20 with the release of his second solo album, "***hole."

The set is a follow-up to Simmons' 1978 self-titled solo debut, released in conjunction with albums by each of the original members of Kiss -- guitarist Ace Frehley, singer/guitarist Paul Stanley and drummer Peter Criss. Issued on the Casablanca label, "Gene Simmons" peaked at No. 22 on The Billboard 200 albums chart. - Click Here for the Full Story

FBI Stick It To Music
Aversion reports: The Federal Bureau of Investigation won't be taking the matter of music piracy lightly. In fact, it's such a priority for the bureau, it's developed stickers to help staunch the flood of illegally traded music.

The FBI announced that soon stickers warning music buyers of the gravity of infringing copyrights will be placed on all CDs.

The stickers read: "The unauthorised reproduction or distribution of this copyrighted work is illegal. Criminal copyright infringement, including infringement without monetary gain, is investigated by the FBI and is punishable by up to five years in federal prison and a fine of $250,000." - Click Here for the Full Story

Dropkick Fans
Chart Attack reports: Dropkick Murphy's Al Barr doesn't have a lot of love for fans that talk about his group on the net. When asked by Chart Attack about online discussions about line-up changes for the band, Barr responded, "These f***ing kids with their computers today! I still live in the dinosaur days, but my wife knows how to use them. She tells me about these electronic mails I get. It’s crazy. People tell me what’s going on in the world. But then everyone gossips! You get these five kids that sit and talk, making themselves sound like an army; like bagpipes in the fog… they seem massive. They make a band think they’re the most popular band in the world, but it’s a few kids with no life ‘cause they’re on the f***ing computer. If they had a life, they’d be out living it! How about trying to be in a band? See how that grabs ya! These people that judge your life and bitch, 'Oh, I gotta go… my mom just came in!' f*** right off!"- Click Here for the Full Story

Country Jet
NME.com reports: JET have revealed the follow up to 'GET BORN" may take on a more "country" feel.

Drummer Chris Cester has admitted that touring with The Sleepy Jackson has had an influence on the band's sound.

"Is it a country a western album? Well, becoming friends with The Sleepy Jackson and listening to The Beach Boys has really affected our sound", revealed Cester to XFM.

"We wrote a lot of the record on the back of the bus this year. We had time split up in our own corners of the bus just to work separately, so it’s gonna be even more schizophrenic than our last record," he explained. "We haven’t been talking much, but hopefully we’ll come together and put it all together in December. - Click Here for the Full Story

Hetfield Helps WM3
Blabbermouth reports: METALLICA frontman James Hetfield is one of the contributors to Brett Alexander Savory and M. W. Anderson's West Memphis Three anthology, "Last Pentacle of the Sun: Writings in Support of the West Memphis Three", due in early October through Arsenal Pulp Press.

Sales of "Last Pentacle of the Sun: Writings in Support of the West Memphis Three" will raise money for the defense of the "West Memphis Three", young men tried and found guilty of a murder through "a disturbing pattern of public hysterics, official misconduct, and completely illogical judicial conclusions," according to Savory. "These young men were convenient suspects not because of evidence, but because they wore black, listened to heavy metal music, and liked horror fiction. It is a very disturbing situation." No Rush To Court
Blabbermouth reports: The Associated Press reports that the Florida State Attorney's Office postponed an arraignment Monday (Feb. 23) for RUSH guitarist Alex Lifeson, but charged his daughter-in-law with resisting arrest.

It was the third arraignment delay for Lifeson (a.k.a. Alex Zivojinovich) on charges stemming from a New Year's Eve fight with sheriff's deputies at a posh hotel.

State Attorney's Office spokeswoman Chere Avery said the office needed more time to "evaluate its options," the Naples Daily News reported. His arraignment was rescheduled for March 8.

The State Attorney's Office did charge Michelle Zivojinovich, 30, with a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest without violence. - Click Here for the Full Story

A7X Throw Down
siN's metal news reports: More information on the AVENGED SEVENFOLD arrest that went on on the night of February 10th outside London's Crowbar has been released!

An official press release states from vocalist M. Shadows and guitarists Zacky Vengeance and Synyster Gates said that the band stepped in to protect their tour manager, Val, who had become involved in a scuffle outside the popular London night spot.

"We are having a blast in England making a lot of great new friends. This was just one of those of those things. We never go looking for a fight, but we take care of our own, always. We were attacked by a gang of Samurai warriors whilst helping an old lady to cross the road".

Zacky continued, "Basically what happened was we were walking this old lady across the street and this group of hooligans showed up on motor cycles and they had guns and knives and a samurai sword, and one of them had a dragon with him which was blowing fire! We were just trying to help this old lady and they were like 'Give us your purse!', so we said 'We're not going to let you take this old ladies' purse', so we put on our suits of armour and away we went." - Click Here for the Full Story
