Daniel Merriweather has backed off his accusation that Celine Dion was stealing his song 'Water and a Flame' whom Dion had reportedly credited Adele with writing. Merriweather wrote the song with Eg White for his 2009 album, "Love & Water" which featured guest vocals from Adele. He reportedly became upset after learning Dion praised Adele for the song, according to Noise 11. Dion has recorded a version of the song as the title track and lead single for her comeback album, which is set to be released in October. Merriweather posted a new Facebook update addressing the controversy. He writes, "I want to clear some things up. In hindsight, i was wrong to say that Celine 'stole' my song, from a songwriting point of view this is not the case at all
and really was not the point i was trying to make
"It turns out that she didn't realize that 'Water and a Flame' was my song from my album 'Love & War', instead she thought it was an Adele song. "She should've just done her homework before she decided to cover my song
name her album after it
and then publicly imply credit to the featured act on the song (Adele). I get that Adele is a major artist and that the association helps her sell albums, but Adele is my friend; and she guested on my song, simple and plain, and that should've been acknowledged before Celine decided to rewrite history".

(Radio.com) Robin Thicke has followed up his first No. 1 "Blurred Lines," with the release of his new single "Give It 2 U," which features Kendrick Lamar and Thicke's familiar falsetto crooning some lyrics that are suggestive, even for him.In a recent interview with Radio.com, Thicke gave his take on the second Blurred Lines single, which was produced by Dr. Luke. "It's very exciting," Thicke said of "Give It 2 U." "It's very Michael Jackson, Prince but also pretty hip-hop. It's a big, shiny pop record. It's fun." "Give It 2 U" continues Thicke's new trend in not taking himself too seriously in his songs. Rather than write about his own life as he has done in the past, Thicke told Radio.com that on his new album he decided to focus on just having fun. "I've written so many songs about my insecurities, my fears, my failures, my relationship problems, my personal issues, my issues with God and the universe," he explained. "I've written about everything. I think that's why this album I was like, 'I don't want to write about myself anymore. I just want to write stuff that makes people feel good.' This is the most fun, feel-good music I've ever made." Check out the song here.

(Radio.com) Radio.com asked a few musicians some relationship questions on budding summer romances. The guys from Far East Movement, Plain White T's, Parachute and Drop City Yacht Club all weighed in and some of their answers may surprise you.Our first question, "Do guys prefer it when a woman asks them out?," received a unanimous yes from every band member. "It's 2013
," Far East Movement's Prohgress asserted. "In Sweden, women are way more upfront with the way they feel. They buy you drinks. I enjoyed it." While each member of Far East Movement were all for being asked out, Kev Nish said it does put them in a weird position. "What if you're not feeling her and she's doing all this for you? Now we know how girls feel when you put mad dough down and they're not feeling you." Plain White T's Tom Higgenson and Drop City Yacht Club's A Wolf shared the same belief. "They should do it all the time," Higgenson urged. "Please ask me out. Anyone. If you see me at the bar, come talk to me." While A Wolf confessed, "I actually prefer that. Guys don't like rejection. We would much rather be asked out." While all the bands agreed on the topic of girls asking guys out, they were divided on whether you should tell your best friend you have a crush on them. Parachute's Will Anderson learned the hard way that being that honest sometimes has its disadvantages. "I've done that before and it backfired," he admitted. "I told one of my best friends that I really like her and she told me she viewed me like a brother. So that was that." more including video.

Big B releases his brand new studio album "Fool's Gold" this week and to celebrate we asked him to tell us about some of his favorite songs from the album. Today he tells us about "Hangovers With You" featuring The Dirty Heads: I had been friends with The Dirty Heads for about a decade, dating way back to the days when I was still playing with OPM and doing shows together. We had always talked about making music together, so when it came time to do this record I called them up just as they were coming off tour with Matisyahu, which was perfect timing. We had been going back and forth for a while, but they called and said they had some free time to work together. I had this part already written that I really liked and Jared had a part that he wrote that eventually became the hook, so we put them together and it eventually became "Hangovers With You". Duddy B from Dirty Heads did a verse on the track, and the cool thing about him is that he never writes anything down. He just goes into the booth and records it, so it was pretty amazing to watch him work. My producer Jim Perkins built the track up and then Duddy came back in to record some guitar parts over it. The cool part is that the guys in Dirty Heads didn't really know what I was up to with it, and when they heard the album they were super impressed with it. About a week later, I got a phone call saying that they were going to put me into the mix for their upcoming summer tour and a week later I got the call that I was going out on tour with them and The Expendables. For me, it was the biggest pay off ever to have them hear the music I was working on and invite me out on tour with them. It's a honor to get a chance to play with them, and at the same time I get to hang with my friends all summer. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
